We stayed for 1 week with an our family and baby in August. Nikolaos was extremely helpful, friendly and attentive before & during our stay. The villa is absolutely gorgeous and the check in & check out process was really easy thanks to Nikolaos. He gave us excellent recommendations for activities and restaurants and was able to help connect us with taxis etc. We also sampled some of his mother’s delicious cooking. Thank you so much for a wonderful week.

the villa itself is beautiful, quiet and with a nice pool, many chilling areas. The host is super nice, gave lots of good tips and is very accommodating. The value is also very good. Oh and the beds were comfy!

If you are dreaming of deep dive into the Greek atmosphere while being on Crete Island, Verekinthos Villas is the right place to be! The villa is a renovated family farmhouse with authentic décor and vibes. It’s a bit of a drive to Chaniá, but if you don’t mind windy roads, you’ll be rewarded with fantastic sea views and occasional goats and sheep all over the slopes. Kudos to Nicos, the host and creator of this incredible place! The house is very clean with everything you need for your stay, the pool and hot tub worked perfectly when we wanted to chill out locally. Nicos’s hospitality touched us so much, we have never experienced anything like that! He spoiled us with some delicious Cretan meals cooked by his mom and himself. He gave us detailed itineraries for all directions of the island with sightseeing destinations and places to dine in (his time estimates were as accurate as Google Maps). He even recommended us some hiking trails in the mountains that you can see from the villa (giving precautions about the roads, etc). We were in good hands this entire stay and will definitely recommend this place to our friends and family!

An absolute find. This lovingly restored ancient family home sits tucked away in a gorgeous valley, almost tropical in its lushness and shades of green. The bedrooms in particular are just beautifully designed and appointed— airy, romantic, quirky and full of personality, while being faithful to the original stone buildings. Beautifully lit.The pool area is as lovely as it looks, and further, looks out towards a truly spectacular view. This home, while being an easy drive from Chania, is a little distance from the more touristy areas— a beautiful drive through the hills, green giving way to some almost lunar landscape which then opens up to the sea. Superb tavernas (Dounias!). It’s incredibly peaceful— time almost felt like it was standing still- and in the darkness, the stars put on an unparalleled show. Genuinely not to be missed.
