Superb Villa in peaceful location with wonderful views and a helpful host.

A beautiful, spacious and well-presented villa with a generous and well-equipped outdoor space, and spectacular view of the coast and sea. Our host was wonderful, giving us helpful advice on how to find the villa (btw do NOT use Apple maps - Google was spot-on) and lots of helpful local information / recommendations. Very responsive to messages and requests, too. We booked two nights and wished we had made it longer. Fruit, water, snacks, orange juice and tea / coffee were provided on arrival, enough to keep us going until we could shop for food. The villa is superbly well-equipped and in a peaceful location. Highly recommend.

− If you don't enjoy driving on hillside roads or the quiet of a rural location this may not suit you. The roads are perfectly fine in terms of width and surface, they just wind around a bit. However, access to the villa's parking area is straight off the road, which is a plus. I struggled to connect with the Booking.com messaging page for this villa and had to email using a link I found under 'get directions'. Given the recent bad publicity about Booking.com it did cause me concern but Houlia is very quick to respond, which was reassuring.

The villa is perfect - really spacious bedrooms with excellent air conditioning in each. Good cooking facilities including an outdoor BBQ. The outdoor areas are perfect with lots of comfortable beds and a pool. The view is incredible. The staff were friendly and were able to help with all of our enquiries. The breakfast provided each day was also excellent, so plentiful and varied each day. I couldn’t recommend this villa enough.

− It does require a car to get to as it is around a 10 minute drive to the nearest supermarket or restaurant.

Stunning villa up in the hills. Very easy to get to on a windy mountain road. Houlia was a lovely host, more than happy to help with any issues/ questions we had. This included me thinking we’d lost all power when actually the key had been removed from the keycard slot. Stupid Englishman! All in all, a lovely stay and wouldn’t hesitate to book again.

− The only tiny disappointment was the second (patio) pool had a leak so was out of use. However we didn’t need two pools for the 4 of us!

Everything was great- the house, the outdoor area- the pools, the garden. The location is amazing- with a panoramic sea view and on the hill- which allows nice breeze in the evenings. We got a basket of fresh vegetables from the garden and some souvenirs and the end, and the owner was available to us with issue we had. Highly recommended!

We recently stayed at this villa with our family, gifting a holiday to our elderly parents, and it was an unforgettable experience. The villa comprises two separate apartments, each featuring two double bedrooms, a bathroom, and an open kitchen living room. This layout was perfect for us as our parents wake up much earlier than we do, allowing everyone to maintain their own routines without any disturbances. The kitchens are well-equipped with modern facilities and all necessary dishes, enabling us to enjoy several nights of cooking at the villa. We particularly loved grilling seafood and vegetables that we purchased from the local shops in Rethymno. The outside area of the villa is incredibly spacious, offering plenty of spots to relax and unwind. The highlight, however, was the breathtaking view of the sea from the villa. Moreover, the hosts were incredibly nice and welcoming, adding a personal touch to our stay and making us feel right at home. Overall, this villa is excellent value for money. The stunning sea view and the ample amenities would have been significantly more expensive in a hotel setting. We had a fantastic stay and would highly recommend this villa to anyone looking for a relaxing and scenic getaway.

− It’s important to note that you need a car to get to the villa, as it is located high up on a hill and cannot be accessed without one. We travel to Greece every year and always rent a car, as we love visiting different beach every day. In Crete, in general, for driving, Google Maps works great, but you definitely need to use common sense. Sometimes, for a shortcut, it can take you to very small and narrow roads that your car may not fit. If you are a little careful, you will understand it immediately and use alternative roads that are easy to distinguish by their size.
