The location of Drumgarry is absolutely beautiful - Ardvassar is such a lovely village with a small cafe (with gorgeous stunning breakfast!) but still within fairly easy reach of other bigger settlements. Whilst we were there during the off season, we still found Skye to have different little bits to do, although we could have easily have stayed within the cottage for the whole weekend. The house is tastefully decorated, and although the fire wasn't able to be used whilst we were staying, it warmed up quickly with the electric heaters. The kitchen was well equipped, allowing us to have a family dinner on the Saturday night. We could love to come again!

− The shower hose has a slight crack in it, although this did not detract from our stay at all. Genuinely a lovely weekend and the house is fantastic.

Drumgarry is located in a very quiet, scenic part of Skye, easily accessible both from Skye Bridge and the Mallaig ferry. The home is truly homely - with lovely comfortable furniture and personal finishing touches, and equipped with almost everything one could need for a short or even longer stay on the island. We had to bunker down for 2 days given the snow storms that were moving across Skye at the time, but we really loved just relaxing in this lovely home, cooking up large wintery meals for ourselves, and sitting looking out at the ever changing views from the lounge and bedroom windows 🤩 We also really appreciated how easy it was to communicate with Kyle, and the lengths he went to to ensure the house was warm throughout our stay despite issues he was having with his fireplace and chimney :)

− We struggled a bit with hot water in the bathrooms at times.

Beautiful Views & Beauitful Cottage

Cottage was very well-kept, clean and loads of space, Views were prefect our boys loved the house and internet connection. Can not fault the place, keep it up beautiful and clean We loved it

Charming house, but sadly affected by the storm

The house was beautiful, really charming and nicely decorated. The host was extremely attentive, even before the booking, she replied quickly and was always helpful.

− Unfortunately, due to the storm, we spent all three days without electricity, hot water, or heating. We also couldn’t cook or properly enjoy the house, which was a real shame because it was such a lovely place. After the incident, we requested a refund since the house was completely unusable, but unfortunately, the host refused to return the money.
