Lovely but could be improved

This is a beautiful villa in a lovely setting. It has many plus points - air con, decent size private pool, comfortable beds and comfortable sun loungers. There is also a cleaner who comes roughly every other day to empty the bins and supply fresh towels and Solaris (who manage the property) are at the end of the phone and very responsive if anything goes wrong (which it did - power cuts!).

− Do not book this villa expecting the height of luxury. It is very nice, but it is not high end, high spec. The kitchen equipment is old and dated, the kitchen itself is not brilliantly equipped and there is only one toilet/shower room, which is functional, but again not luxurious. But then, I think the price is fair and reflects this. A high end villa with a private pool would be double the price of this. Some points to be aware of: - The villa is located in the hills above Kassiopi, accessed by a rough track off the main road. You can get a car up there, but be prepared to tackle a bumpy, precarious track (quite common with Greek villas unfortunately) - It is a 30 minute walk down the hill into Kassiopi town, along a busy road with no pavement (until you get nearer the town). It is a steep schlep back up - but there are local taxi services that will bring you back up for 10 Euros - The villa is semi-detached and the local Greek couple who live in the other part have to walk through the courtyard, alongside the villa's terrace and pool to get into their house. They are very nice - but it is not private and be aware that you will see them coming and going. - The pool itself is not overly clean. The filters look like they haven't been cleaned out in a long time and there is no apparent pool maintenance/checks/cleaning/chlorinating going on. - Lastly there are 4 wild cats who have adopted the villa garden/courtyard as their home. We love cats and were happy to have them there and actually fed them and put water down every day. But the cats mean that the area around the pool does smell quite badly of cat pee. This could be solved by a weekly jet wash, but I get the impression that this is not done and wasn't done before we arrived or the 2 weeks we were there.

Perfect family holiday

Lovely beautiful quiet location with wonderful views overlooking the sea. Property was perfect, 2 bedroom villa with plenty of space and the pool was brilliant for the children.

− We thought we could have walked into town or the beach more easily which was further than we could which was a little disappointing.

Breathtaking views

We had a truly wonderful family holiday here and loved everything about the villa, its surrounding area and the island! We would return in a heartbeat and shall miss the views.

− An information/ visitor book about the villa and local area would be a useful addition for guests.

Wunderbarer Aufenthalt!

Der Outdoorbereich mit dem Pool und der Wahnsinns-Aussicht ist einfach toll. Es gibt mehrere Sitzgelegenheiten, was auch toll ist. Innen wurde die Villa neu ausgestattet (ich weiß nicht, warum die Fotos nicht aktualisiert werden - sie geben nicht den aktuellen Stand wieder). Die Lage ist auch super, es gibt viele wunderschöne Strände, die in wenigen Autominuten erreichbar sind, sowie einen netten Ort. Die Nachbarn sind auch sehr nett. Wir hatten einen tollen Aufenthalt.

− Wir waren zwei Erwachsene Pärchen und was uns etwas gestört war ist, dass das Schlafzimmer in der oberen Etage keine Tür hat und somit wenig Privatsphäre herrscht. Zudem ist schade, dass es nur ein Bad gibt bzw. das WC nicht getrennt ist. Das kann für vier Erwachsene etwas unbequem sein.
