Villa Vernissa♡

The villa has a lot of potential but it needs some modernising and some work on the cleanliness.

Our host was very responsive and helpful throughout our stay. The surroundings of the villa were beautiful and it was very peaceful. Really good restaurant within walking distance - although beware of the traffic on the road. The outdoor cooking area was nice.

− Cleanliness: this needs to be improved on. A lot of the kitchen equipment was dirty when we first arrived and the dishwasher didn't work well so we had to hand wash everything. There were also so many ants everywhere (despite us leaving no food out). The ant traps did nothing to fix the problem. The pool was also not clean when we arrived and it took 2/3 days for this to be fixed in order for us to use it. Although we did get a partial refund for this which was welcomed. The kitchen could do with just some basic upgrades as well. Like new tea towels, knives etc - everything seemed like it was 20 years old. The main oven didn't work which meant we had to use the temporary oven on the counter top which took away a big proportion of the surface space. There was a second kitchen that you could only access from outside but we had trouble getting any of the hobs to work out there, and there was no fridge so it wasn't very useful. There is also only one shower in the villa (2 toilets) which was quite difficult to manage with 5 of us, it would be a real struggle with many more people staying in the villa. The aircon is only in the bedrooms so the rest of the house can get quite hot. There also a lot of mosquitos because the doors need to be open for the villa to cool down.
