Location is too good, surrounded with Nature, close to Beach, back water and natural pond very next to Vila. Property is surrounded with coconut trees and birds. Food offered by host is too tasty. Host and his family is very cooperative and supportive.

Top class food, especially seafood. Our own cottage with veranda was great to spend time relaxing in. Vinu and family really made a big effort to make sure we got the best out of our stay, organising lots of trips. Highlights included dawn canoe trip in the backwaters and trip to the fish market, hanging bridges, temple in Kanhangad, kayaking, bell metal (lost wax) workshop. But the biggest highlight was the food - beautifully crafted and so delicious.

Exceptional homestay courtesy of a family team. Sasikaila is an outstanding chef serving some of the best food we've eaten anywhere in India. Shammu is a safe and skilled fisherman who took us on our backwater boat trip at sunrise and to the amazing fish market. Surprised to see a family of foxes on the river bank plus lots of kingfishers. He knows lots of people there and we were accepted as family as we wandered around admiring the big range of landed fish including a large marlin. He's got a good eye for buying good fish and prawns. Perfectively cooked by Sasikaila for lunch and dinner. Vinod is a great communicator on WhatsApp and took us behind the scenes at the Theyam, something we couldn't have experienced without him. He can source the coldest beer in Kerala. Krishna got us up to speed with everything cultural, educational and political in Kerala and did I say sunset from the beach is close by and we saw peacocks flying over the pond! A really magical couple of days here, highly recommended.

Dr ligging van dr bungalow aan een watertje waarin veel vogels kwamen badderen Apart was ook dat het resort in een klein dorpje ligt tussen de arabische zee en de backwaters Elke ochtend en elke avond werd er heerlijk voor ons gekookt door Sasiekala en met chamoe, haar man maakten we een mooie boottocht en bezochten we de visafslag Met de eigenaar Vinod maakten we een paar mooie excursies

Comfortable stay at a very scenic location with amazing food and hosts

Excellent hosts, location, and amazing local cuisine. The hosts were always there to help and provide the required comforts. The location was the most scenic that one could ask for, a lake in the front, backwaters behind the property, and a beach just 150 meters from the property. The hosts were amazing with their flexibility and the way they took extra care of us during the stay. Hats off to Mr. Vinod and his wife, Yashoda, and Shanmugham for making us feel comfortable and treating us like a part of their family.
