The property and external areas are very ‘tired’. It’s in dire need of some TLC.
7.0Beautifully quiet, lovely views, superb sized pool, lots of space (indoor & outdoor). There’s a trampoline, table tennis table & basketball net which was a pleasant surprise!
− BBQ area was dirty & greasy when we arrived. There are lots of broken, sharp, lifting floor tiles around the BBQ area and poolside. Considering the host knew there would be 6 of us, there were only 2 sun loungers out. The others were tucked away, engrained in dirt & cobwebs. We spent over an hour scrubbing them clean. One shower had a large crack in the tray; the other overflowed onto the bathroom floor. The bathroom sink had substandard fittings and leaked into the vanity unit. The front door lock was dodgy so we had to use the back door. All of this was reported during our stay.

Great house, hosts and location, but needs to be updated
8.0The location was superb, and so was the house itself, although it lacked amenities. We cannot recommend the hosts more, which were very quick to answer and solve any problems. The view of the ocean is spectacular, the pool is gated and large, the maintenance and upkeep of the outdoor spaces is very good.
− The house desperately needs to be updated, namely the bathrooms. The furniture could use some upkeep. The two worst problems of the house were the lack of AC (as the fans cannot keep up with scorching summer temperatures in the Algarve), and the musty smell of the house which seemed to permeate our clothes and belongings, no matter how much we aired it. We would also recommend having more basic supplies in the kitchen (there were no kitchen towelettes, only two rolls of toilet paper for the 5 day rental, no basic cooking supplies in the pantry...)
