Very kind and helpful owner who provided lots of info and tips. The villa is great, close to the beach, enough space, parking spot available. The outdoor seating and outdoor shower were amazing. We've had a great time!

The house is new and has very good standards. It is close to the sea and the owner is attentive to each little detail. Definitely perfect for a family holiday.

Damp accommodation and unprofessional host

Ok so good things first, the host’s communication was good before booking and on arrival, the property itself was clean and well equipped. Bed was comfortable and the outdoor shower was nice, although the hot water didn’t last long. We were travelling with a baby and a travel cot and high chair (albeit with no tray) were provided. On arrival the host had left us a bottle of Prosecco in the fridge which was kind. The property is a short walk from the beach but there is really very little else in Fontane Bianche except a very tiny shop (we visited in May and it was extremely quiet).

− The property was damp and smelly and the host became unprofessional when the toilet became blocked. Our main issue was that the property was really damp. The second bedroom which our daughter was sleeping in smelled extremely musty, as did the main bedroom. You could tell that the walls had been painted over to cover the damp as there was a large patch with paint flaking off. Everything also just felt very damp inside. We did not like staying there so we only stayed 3 of our 5 night stay. We would have left sooner but couldn’t find alternative accommodation. Perhaps the damp would not have been such an issue if the weather had been better (it was rainy when we visited). Just before we left, we coincidentally noticed that sewage was backing up into the shower when we flushed the toilet. I messaged the host when we left, thanked her for her hospitality but said we were leaving because of the damp. Out of courtesy I also told her about the shower/sewage issue and the host said she would investigate. When I enquired a few days later as to whether we could be refunded the last two nights, the host immediately accused us of blocking the toilet (saying we put baby wipes down the toilet, which we didn’t, and would never do because we are not stupid), asking that we pay £150 for the plumber, and threatening to leave me a bad review if we didn’t.
