A Wonderful Stay at Shivdhaar Estate, Kud

My wife and I were traveling to the Vaishno Devi Temple and decided to stay for one night at Shivdhaar Estate in Kud, Patnitop. It turned out to be one of the best homestay experiences we’ve ever had. The property is beautiful, peaceful, very clean, and well maintained. The hosts were incredibly warm and welcoming, making us feel right at home. The food was absolutely delicious. We especially loved the authentic Kashmiri Dum Aloo and Rajma Curry, all freshly prepared. It’s a pure vegetarian homestay, and every meal was full of homemade flavors. One of the highlights of our stay was the village and farming experience. We enjoyed picking fresh strawberries with our host, Pulkit, and even got to experience milking a cow and tasting fresh organic milk for the first time. It was truly memorable. Oreo, the friendly dog, made our stay even more special. The staff were polite, helpful, and always ready to assist with a smile. We would definitely love to come back for a longer stay and highly recommend Shivdhaar Estate to anyone visiting Patnitop or Vaishno Devi.

I traveled from Delhi to Patnitop with my partner, and staying at Shivdhaar Estate was one of the best experiences of our trip in Jammu & Kashmir. The homestay is beautiful, peaceful, and gives a true village experience. The host, Rohit, was extremely helpful and made our stay even more memorable. The cherry on top was the delicious food prepared by him, especially the authentic Kashmiri dishes. We also loved experiencing village life, including spending time around cows and dogs, which added a special charm to our stay. The staff was very kind and supportive throughout our visit. If you are planning to visit Vaishno Devi Temple or Patnitop, I highly recommend booking Shivdhaar Estate for a comfortable and unique stay.

Excellent vegetarian food. Outstanding hospitality. The host goes out of his way to make you comfortable. They have desi cows and organic gardens. The place is very authentic. It has a strong identity and character. I just wish I could have spent more days there. On my next trip for sure.

The place is wonderfully maintained by Rohit, who, along with his excellent staff, made our stay unforgettable. We were constantly amazed by the hospitality Rohit and his team exhibited. The food was the best homely food we've ever had, complemented by fresh milk from their own cows. The large balcony provided the best forest view, adding to the serene atmosphere. Our time at Shivdhaar was truly the best, and we highly recommend this property to anyone visiting kud Patnitop.
