Amazing place! A perfect location, great views, a nice pool, and spacious, well designed and equipped rooms made for an incredible stay. The separation between the both houses is perfect.

Idyllisch verblijf middenin het groen

FANTASTISCH huisje in het groen met prachtige infinity pool, terras en tuin. Ideaal om met gezin of groepje vrienden te delen als uitvalsbasis om het eiland te verkennen. Wij focusten ons tijdens ons verblijf voornamelijk op het Noordelijke gedeelte van het eiland en verplaatsten nadien naar Funchal. Alles was voorzien qua keukengerei, afwasmachine, handdoeken, lakens, kleerkasten, buitenmeubilair,… Ideaal voor wie wil ontkoppelen en rust zoekt! Host was goed te bereiken en erg behulpzaam indien nodig!

− Voor ons geen issue maar wel enkele dingen om rekening met te houden: - het huisje is erg afgelegen en je kan nergens heen te voet, er is een voetgangerspad door de weide maar dat is in slechte staat waardoor je dus overal de wagen voor moet nemen (dichtstbijzijnde dorpje is slechts 100m verwijderd maar je rijdt er 10-15 minuten over) - niet geschikt voor onervaren chauffeurs omv. de ligging (smalle en stijle toegangsweg) - aanpalend aan het huis is een tweede huisje verhuurd, je moet dus rekening houden met je buren en vice versa - het verwarmen van het zwembad is een bijkomende kost en is wel echt nodig aangezien het erg kan afkoelen ‘s avonds door de open vlakte

Perfect island retreat with breathtaking views

The house is set on a stunning piece of land with breathtaking, million-dollar views of the Atlantic Ocean. The heated pool, outdoor shower combined with the beautifully maintained garden, creates a truly idyllic setting. It was incredibly peaceful and quiet during our stay (although we were fortunate that the neighboring house was unoccupied). The location is also ideal for exploring the island, with all major attractions and destinations within easy reach, making it a perfect base for day trips in every direction. The clear night skies offered spectacular stargazing, and having breakfast on the terrace while watching whales offshore was an unforgettable experience-definitely worth bringing binoculars. João was an excellent host, always responsive and helpful, whether we had a question about the coffee machine or requested a late check-out. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would happily return.

− The house shows some signs of wear and tear and could benefit from a little more maintenance, although nothing significantly affected our stay. As other guests have noted, the air conditioning was somewhat difficult to figure out - it worked well in some rooms but not in others, and we were unable to find any operating instructions. The Wi-Fi connection was somewhat inconsistent but generally sufficient for basic use. The access road to the property is steep and narrow in places, so drivers should be prepared for a bit of an adventure. That said, the spectacular setting and views make the journey well worth it. Our main concern was the presence of the outdoor security cameras. While we completely understand the need for cameras covering the driveway and parking area, we felt uncomfortable with the camera positioned toward the garden, pool, and outdoor shower area. As guests who value privacy, we would have appreciated more clarity regarding the purpose, coverage, and operation of these cameras.

Sehr modern und sehr ruhig!

Gemütliche Villa mit traumhaften Ausblick

Die Villa ist sehr gemütlich und hat für bis zu 6 Personen Platz. Die Küche war gut ausgestattet und die Aussicht auf das Meer war phänomenal. Jeden Abend konnten wir von der Terrasse aus den traumhaften Sonnenuntergang sehen. Auch der Pool war auf unsere Anfrage hin beheizt auf 26 Grad, sodass wir nach unseren Ausflügen noch im Pool entspannen konnten. João war sehr hilfsbereit, er war für uns immer erreichbar und hat uns auch sehr gute Tipps für unseren Aufenthalt gegeben. Ich würde diese Villa definitiv wieder buchen.

La vue sur mer est hallucinante

Le logement est plus petit qu'il n'y paraît, cependant les pièces sont bien organisées et l'espace est suffisant pour une famille de 4 personnes.

− L'accès à la buanderie est du coté du logement Flora donc si vous vous trouvez dans le logement Fauna vous devrez y accéder en dérangeant vos voisins dans leur espace extérieur. Le coffre à clé ne fonctionne pas, avec n'importe quelle combinaison vous pouvez ouvrir le coffre. Il ne faudrait pas que le jour de votre départ, quelqu'un accède au logement et que le propriétaire vous contacte pour un problème dont vous n'êtes pas responsable. Enfin, la caméra dans le jardin... j'étais persuadé que la vidéo surveillance était autorisée dans les parties communes, mais pourquoi dans le jardin privé, avec piscine. Je déconseille donc quiconque qui souhaiterais se mettre nue dans le jardin ou dans la piscine de ne pas le faire. Les commodités sont assez éloignées.
