Beautiful house with a stunning view.

We were warmly welcomed by the owner with a delicious dessert, which was a lovely and thoughtful touch. The garden and swimming pool are beautifully maintained and clearly cared for with great attention. We also appreciated the swings for children, which made the stay even more enjoyable for our family. The accommodation was very well equipped, including a private washing machine and a drying rack on the terrace. An absolutely exceptional place. Ευχαριστούμε πάρα πολύ!

The only thing we missed was a coffee machine

The Owners made a lovely cake and ouzo to drink and welcomed us shortly after we arrived with a very warm and informative welcome :) The villa was in a lovely quiet village, which was in walking distance with a few great places to eat and have a drink! We especially enjoyed having a drink at Maxi's which is a pottery place/restaurant. The outdoor area out back has the perfect greek feel.

The beach is in walking distance if you're a keen walker but if not it's definitely better to drive as it's quite hilly but that's nothing to do with the villa itself more the location. If you're using the washing machine be prepared for it to take some time.

Lovely villa in a beautiful setting

8.0

we have stayed in Villa Mary before, last time though was 7 years ago! We found it to be as before... comfortable, clean, well equipped and in a lovely setting on the hillside above the village. Efi and Manolis are perfect hosts. Efi greeted us shortly after our arrival late at night. There was a very handy welcome pack, including home made cake and some raki... and a further cake and veggie Briam (stew)provided midweek.... delicious! Manolis helped very promptly with a minor issue in the villa midweek. The village is lovely, the people very friendly... and all patient with my attempts at speaking some Greek ....very little really, and it always seems to surprise Greeks that anyone would want to learn! As the weather wasnt great for the first 5 days of our holiday, we enjoyed walking to the village, having delicious cretan breakfasts in Maxis, walking to the bay to watch the crashing sea and walking uphill to the next village ..., about 6 miles round trip but enjoyable... . Beer and mezes in the village ! A taxi to Rethymnon was only 15 euros, and as always Rethymnon is a very interesting place to visit. A bus is also available but not when we wanted to visit. Despite the very unusual weather at first, we had a great time and after our week in Gerani we stayed for 4 days in Chania so did manage to see many places in the sunshine too.

our week was over as the weather improved so we missed the opportunity to use the pool .

Lovely spacious villa with pool and a warm welcome!

On arrival there was a large baked cake, a bottle of raki, water and beer; Super and very hospitable! Also breakfast (bread, cheese, ham, milk, jam, butter, melon) was provided in the fridge for next morning; very nice We arrived late, but owners came anyway to have a look and get acquainted. Cleaning twice a week Lovely swimming pool (depth 1.40 meters everywhere), large garden, spacious outdoor terrace. Gerani is a lovely and still authentic Greek village. Very atmospheric in the evening with the cafes and restaurants when many people sit outside. The village is within walking distance, just 10 minutes There are two supermarkets in the village and another a little further away. Also several restaurants. We had a delicious meal at Maxis twice in the attractive courtyard; price-quality is fine. There is also beautiful ceramics for sale. good airconditioning in the bedrooms and living room / kitchen

nothing !
