Pretty but not worth the price

The villas are beautiful. The property is stunning. The bathroom is large and has lovely features, like self closing door. The hot water and water pressure is great. The staff was so kind and helpful, sometimes overly attentive. We were the only people staying there. So I get it.

− The pool was not clean. The hot tub never got hot over the 3 days we stayed. When we arrived they said they turned it on and it would be hot by the following day. It stayed the same temp as the pool. We had to preorder all of our food a day in advance. They did not have anything available in real time if we wanted a snack. If we wanted a juice or a soda in the afternoon, they did not have it. I got sick in the middle of the night. And there was no access to anything but water. My husband had to leave the property on his scooter and find a convenience mart open. For the price that is unacceptable. At nearly $300 usd a night I would expect better. We have stayed at over 20 properties in Bali over our travels. This was the most the expensive one and lacking basic food and beverage at the ready. I don’t feel at this price point guests should feel like they are staying in hostel and have to stock their own snacks, food and beverages. That was a huge miss. It’s pretty there but not worth the price. Not by a long shot. Maybe at $100 usd a night would have made it not sting as much. We should not have to decide our meals a day in advance. They cooked on site for us. If we did not like what we ordered or something was prepared wrong, we did not have any option for something different to eat. I ended buying my own food and using the toaster. It felt like camping and ritz Carlton prices.
