− Pool maintenence worker just walked in and did his thing. Awkward if you think you have the villa and sunbathe in private. Not disasterous, but need to keep in mind....

Fantastica villa esattamente come da fotografie. Ottimi i contatti con i gestori che hanno risposto a tutte le nostre domande. Abbiamo avuto qualche difficoltà a trovare l'ingresso della villa ma abbiamo telefonato e ci hanno aiutato. Camere pulite e cucina dotata di molti elettrodomestici. Tutto perfetto.

Nothing short of perfection

We stayed at Rosmerta Villa for one week to celebrate my husband’s surprise 30th birthday, and it was truly perfect from start to finish. We were four adults and two toddlers, and the villa was absolutely ideal for all of us. The main pool is large with an incredible uninterrupted view that we never got tired of, and the separate kids’ pool was perfect for our two under-2s — safe, shaded, and ideal for splashing around. The hot tub was a lovely extra — a peaceful spot to relax and unwind in the evenings. The villa itself is immaculate. Every detail has been so thoughtfully considered. The kitchen is extremely well equipped — far more than the usual rental — and made cooking easy and enjoyable. The outdoor hot plate was brilliant too, very easy to use and large enough to cook for six people comfortably. We were welcomed with snacks, drinks, and — after requesting in advance — whole milk for the little ones, which was such a thoughtful touch. We were also provided with two high-quality cots and two high chairs, all with lovely children’s bedding, which our boys adored. The outdoor play area was a huge hit and had more than enough to keep the kids happy and entertained. The beds were super comfortable, and everything was spotless throughout our stay. The villa strikes that perfect balance between luxury and being totally family-friendly. Location-wise, it’s fantastic — just a 5-minute drive from the beautiful village of Panormos with charming restaurants that really come alive in the evening, and about 25 minutes from Rethymno, which is bigger and full of great things to see and do, including a lovely harbour lined with restaurants. We also arranged for the ThinkVilla private chef on the night of my husband’s birthday, and it was absolutely flawless. The chefs arrived, set everything up, cooked, served, explained each dish and its ingredients (all locally sourced), and tidied up afterward.

The outdoor area and view were spectacular

− Floor a little slippery outside. Could do with some slipmats near doors and stairs for safety. But otherwise it was perfect

Loved the outside pool area and the views are fantastic. The house is large and airy, lots of room for a big family.

− There’s not much to dislike about the property. It’s great if you don’t mind being out of the way. You definitely need a car. The only thing I felt let the house down was the cleaning. I looked under the bed for one of the kids toys and it was really dirty & dusty I get there. The cleaners also didn’t clean so well during our stay.
