Complete nightmare

− When we arrived we did not check in. This was by far the worst experience we had on a holiday, ever, and with a sad heart we have to say the wannabe "villa" did not meet our expectations. We arrived around 7 p.m and there was no one to meet us and explain how things work. It is located in a back alley, covered in junk. We did not feel safe as 3 dogs came charging and were barking at us and we felt like they were going to bite if we made a wrong move. There was loud music, noisy neighbours and there were children crying, cats calling loudly that deprived us of any rest. The "villa" is just a noisy wooden cabin in someones backyard. The rooms were not fully closable and were full of bugs and mosquitos!!! You would get eaten alive in the night. (Dengue, other diseases) The bathroom in the upper room was nailed shut and the light did not work. We decided not to stay as for our own safety. We gave an opportunity to make an arrangement where we pay for 1 night for their trouble, and return the rest of the amount of money for the remaining nights, but they would not settle for anything. They also ask to make the payment upfront with a payment link, as they expierence a lot of no-show and cancellation. We did not understand why, but it is clear that people see this and go the other way. Above all, we contacted the villa manager and he was very rude. Everything we say is nonsense and not true. He could not give a clear answer as to why we booked another hotel and ran away from the property, he implies we make this up. He told us that there are no bad reviews but when pointed there are similar to be found on Google reviews, he simply says those reviews are fake. This place is a scam and they fool you with the pictures which are nothing like it. If we could give advise, CHECK GOOGLE REVIEW AND DO NOT BOOK THIS PLACE!!!! You will lose your money and time if you decide to do so.

9.0We enjoyed a wonderful week at Pondok Carik Villa. The location is excellent, and the villa is clean, comfortable. They offer the breakfast for extra charge, and it was pretty good, as a minimum, my partner was satisfied with their offer.
