Lovely hosts - Adrian and Jenna, and such a beautiful house. A pleasure to have had the opportunity!

This house was not the average new build. It had character and lots of rooms so that you could have your space as well as big enough to accommodate all 9 of us in any one of the rooms.

It is not a negative, but I was looking forward to lighting the wood burner, but it kept blowing out so had to use the portable heaters the hosts had kindly left for our elderly members of the family.

Ashburton luxury let, wonderful stay

10.0

We were met by the warm, friendly owner who gave us a tour of the house, making sure that we had contact details for queries. Then, leaving us to settle in. Fantastic location, short walk into the town centre, beautiful house tastefully furnished with more than you could wish for, lovely comfortable homely living areas kitchen fully equipped, good size fridge with water dispenser, quality kitchen items, every, pot, servong dish & utensil you can think of, & good cutlery( I have a thing about good china & cutlery & they did not disappoint😂). The most comfortable beds.. Beautiful private outdoor courtyard, the house was well stocked with loo roll, plenty of towels & even some lovely bath crystals. Wood & fire lighters left for our use with clear instructions on how to light the fire, also a welcome bottle of bubbles. Access to WiFi & television. There were 8 of us plus an 18 month old, high chair & cot provided, plenty of room. We had a wonderful stay.

There was nothing to dislike, just lovely

Wonderful house, beautifully decorated with antiques. Plenty of space for everyone. Great location for lovely Ashburton town with its selection of individual shops.

Everything good. Nothing to complain about

Amazing property, well equipped kitchen, friendly host, beautiful location. An absolute gem!

We had the most wonderful stay in this beautiful house where we stayed for 4 nights. There was 8 of us in total - a family of 4 and then 4 other crew members (my husband and crew were taking part in a regatta in Torbay). The host Adrian, was so friendly and welcoming. Ashburton village is just wonderful with lots of little antique shops - I would have liked to have explored them for longer and try the local cafes and restaurants, but with such a well equipped kitchen I really enjoyed cooking for everyone. The house, well it truly exceeded my expectations. The photos do not do it justice. It is so quirky and fully of character, but welcoming and homely. At first you think you might get lost with the different reception rooms and many different stairs. My two girls loved playing hide and seek as it would go on for ages! I would absolutely love to return here at Christmas time with family or friends as I think it would be just perfect especially with the different log burners - though we didn't need to use them in August. A lot of thought has gone into making this property very comfortable. It was very clean and the beds were sooo comfy - almost too comfy. And then there was the lovely fluffy white towels and the amazing spa bath. Honestly, I am missing the house already.

I really couldn't say anything I didn't like. I guess my youngest daughter might say that her single bed was really creaky so we ended up moving her mattress to the floor to keep her quiet and out of our bed lol. I know in some reviews, people have commented about the glass floor/ceiling, and I agree it is a bit different, but it wasn't an issue for us at all and you can easily roll a large rug over it to keep your privacy. I think the only thing I didn't like about it all, was not staying for longer!

Great stay (three generations of the family and two dogs) to celebrate an 80th birthday!

As a conservation accredited architect I loved the property, and could really appreciate the work which had gone into creating some lovely spaces. A mix of old and new. Every guest is sure to enjoy exploring. I also loved the nearby (walking distance) public lido for relaxed swimming.

Parking was a bit tricky at first, but we got the hang of that easily enough with help from the lovely host. Nothing else!
