Prachtige villa. Knappe inrichting. Zeer vriendelijk en behulpzaam villa personeel. Het Guest Services personeel dat het transport en de activiteiten regelde was zeer efficiënt en proactief.

What more could you possibly want? Our visit to The Rice House was without a doubt one of the most special and memorable holidays in our life. For starters, from the exact time we booked the villa, the host had great correspondence in keeping us updated with directions, special requirements for our guests and information on the property and it’s surroundings. When we arrived, we were greeted by the staff of Rice House who were so attentive to ensure that we settled in smoothly. The first thing we noticed was how extremely immaculate the gardens were. The entire property, including the rooms, common areas, pool & outside areas are maintained to an extremely high standard of cleanliness. In addition, each room is equipped with everything you possibly need for a relaxing vacation, including air conditioning, mosquito nets for the beds, comfortable bath robes, lockable safes, toiletries, extra pool towels and more. If all of this wasn’t already luxurious, the chefs at the villa were highly skilled as the food was exquisite. They were so approachable and open to any suggestions and were genuinely happy to provide the best possible service. We gave the chefs the menus for all meals for the duration of our stay and each meal was not only mouth-watering but calculated to the exact quantities required and made with such care, it was truly some of the best Sri Lankan food we’ve tasted. The team also comprises of a maid that cleans the rooms and make up beds if you wish and also an extremely alert security guard and guard dog who patrol the property throughout the entire night until sunrise. The villa is isolated enough that we were able to play music, but also close enough to the town for us to buy any goods. We wish we were back at the Rice House, sunbathing on the hammocks scattered around the gardens, it was truly a stay that will be never forgotten.
