Relaxing
10.0Lots of space, well equipped. The location might not suit all but we had a very relaxing week, no immediate neighbours and away from main roads. Erica gave us recommendations for local restaurants and places to visit.
− There are no negatives from us.
Waanzinnig verblijf met een goeie prijs kwaliteit verhouding!

10.0The villa is so nice. We rented a car to get around which is a must if you stay at this villa. For us it wasn’t a problem, there’s plenty of shops, bars, restaurants in reasonable distance of the villa, and I liked that it had a lot of space and no neighbours. There are 2 BBQ areas outside with fridges etc which I loved! The pool is beautiful, a bit cold as it’s not heated but the kids were fine once they got moving 🤣. I imagine it would be perfect in the summer, we went in November so it’s expected. The weather most days was good at this time of year too, bit overcast on some days and a bit of rain but it’s the North and in the mountains so to be expected. I loved how green and lush everything looked in La Orotava so happy to put up with a bit of rain in November for that. Overall really impressed with the space and location, will visit again. I also loved waking in up the morning and seeing the view from the bedroom!

Don't let this pleace ruin your holidays.
2.0The garden was green and spacious with a view on the ocean and the city. Nice swimming pool, but unfortunately, under construction during our stay.
− First of all, very inconvenient way to get the keys. Finally, the lady left them for us in the key box, we had to meet her personally, after all day of texting and arranging our meeting. The house is situated on a hill with a specific microclimate- every single day. At about 12pm, low, grey clouds came, usually with light showers, the temperature was getting colder already with pretty cold evenings and nights. Don't be fooled by a weather forecast for Puerto de la Cruz, it always shows clouds and sun, but the clouds dominate directly above your head... every day. The house was dark, cold, and with high humidity. CCTV cam in the kitchen and bedroom (sic). No dishwasher in newly renovated kitchen, you should do the dishes manually, not the best way to spend your holidays? No smart TV in the living room, forget about Netflix. The bedroom on the first floor was spacious, but the floor was thin and extremely creaking, with a big plexiglass gap with a view on the kitchen below. No way to cover it. There are no blind covers on the windows in the bedroom. The garden was great, big and green with nice bbq area, but furniture was old, some of them were broken and covered with dust, everything needs general cleaning. Every evening, after about 10pm, a very intensive smell of the nearby barn started to spread - no way to spend time outside. Few times the gate stopped working, and it was impossible to get out. Once, we had to wait one hour for the fixing specialist to come. In Puerto de la Cruz, it is difficult to park your car. Keep in mind that the best way to get to the city is taxi. To sum up, I really do not recommend this place, not only this particular house, but all the area because of the microclimate. We also spent a week on the south of the island where it was sunny, warm, and much nicer.
