traumhafte lage in orangenplantage, blick in die berge und auf den atlantik in ca. 300 m höhe, hübsche alte finca incl. schönem, sauberen pool. außer uns selbst keine touristen.

− im märz warme kleidung mitbringen, unterkunft kaum heizbar (kamin aus sicherheitsgründen gesperrt). man sollte das gebell zahlreicher hunde in unmittelbarer nachbarschaft sehr mögen.

Beautiful old, traditional house with an amazing garden and ocean view!

Beautiful old house in an amazing location with a massive garden full of growing avocadoss, oranges and lemons! Marvelous views from the patio to the ocean and the mountains. Great swimming pool in the garden (not on pictures - not sure why; it was too cold outside to use it during our stay though). Place is super secluded, gives you total chill vibes. Very comfortable bed and communicative owner. He left us fruits and wine for our stay. Loooots of potential to make this place a total hidden gem!

− The fireplace didn't work and we weren't informed about that in advance (which is a shame as we were really excited to use it). We were provided with a few portable heaters but you could only use two at the same time in the living room, if you turned on the 3rd one, the electricty would go off - two heaters for such a massive living room were barely warming up our feet. The house has a big problem with some sort of long, black worms - we were trying to get rid of them but they were everywhere and felt like multiplying (don't go if you are afraid of bugs/ worms/ spiders). This should be sorted by the owner as you can't blaim such an infestation on "living in nature". The hot water is not very reliable and it is quite cold in the main bathroom as the window doesn't close (there is a small heater but we had to discover it on our own). The kitchen drawers smell a bit of mold. Place could be cleaner. There is lots of dogs barking coming from the surrounding houses (it's in the valley so it gets quite loud), we didn't mind it though. Don't book if you are not a confident driver as the streets leading to the place are very steep.

Very large property, with lots of terrace space and even a pool! Our contact at the property was very helpful and friendly. The grounds are lovely, a working farm in a high and verdant valley.

− Nothing to complain about, but worth knowing that because the property is at a high elevation in La Florida, it may frequently be cloudy or rainy while the coast beyond highway 5 is sunny.

The house and location were perfect. The host was very welcoming and helpful. La Orotava and Puerto de la Cruz are both beautiful, and the house was within easy reach (by car) of El Teide, the National Parks, scenic walks, Loro Parque, and the quieter beaches of the north coast.

A great rural finca with amazing gardens and totally private surroundings. If you're looking for a rural retreat then you can't go wrong here! Fruit trees, singing wild canaries around the pool. Getting there is a bit difficult, the roads are really steep and narrow and several were closed. Don't rely on GPS! The owner met us at the local petrol station and showed us the way in and out, which was really appreciated.
