It is a relaxing beautiful, spacious (both indoor and outdoor), and quiet place to stay in Kona.

The location is perfect for us. It is on the hill, where temperatures are cooler, and there are gentle breezes. It has a wide view of the ocean and a beautiful garden with various fruit trees that we can pick fruit from. The place is spacious for us (a couple with a daughter), with nice decorations and paintings. It is very quiet day and night. The outdoor kitchen is very nice and has all the equipment you need to make meals.

− Although there are two bedrooms, the living room shares the same space as the master bedroom. It was fine for us because our daughter shared it with us. It wouldn't work if we came with our friends (another couple) instead of our daughter. I love the place, and we will stay there again in the future, just for us.

Beautiful Home & Great Hospitality

Sandra is extremely hospitable. She met us when we first arrived and gave us a quick walk through and let us know we could always reach out to her if we needed anything. She left out a bowl of fruit for us upon arrival which was very thoughtful. My youngest ate all the papaya up. This property is a wonderful retreat that boasts amazing views and sunsets. I found all the nature sounds at night soothing (birds, frogs, etc.). My kids loved the pool, all the toys available to them, and thought the chickens were adorable. The patio swing was also a favorite of the kids to get some reading done. The frogs and geckos/lizards that came out at night were also a hit with the kids. The home utilizes an outdoor kitchen. I was hesitant at first, but it worked out really well. Everything was well stocked which was greatly appreciated.

− Our only concern was insects. We realize some of it cannot be helped since it is a tropical setting, but we weren't prepared for it. I would recommend insect repellent if you get bit easily. We also encountered these millipede or centipede critters that would show up occasionally crawling on the floor inside the home and a few climbing the walls. They move pretty slow so you can easily catch and dispose of them. We're not sure, but we think they're harmless.

Amazing, Sandra was a fabulous host & nothing was too much trouble

Amazing acre of land with copious amounts of trees, flowers and fruit trees. Amazing pool and hot tub. Also has a steamroom within the shower a nice touch comfortable beds amazing facilities, fully fitted kitchen, everything you could need washing machine & tumble dryer. Sandra has catered for everything you could possibly need, including Wi-Fi & Netflix etc. Visits from Sandra’s cats & five chickens, even wild chickens, also saw wild pigs and goats, As Sandra grows lots of fruit in her garden we were able to try custard apples and fresh papaya which was Amazing, also Fresh eggs from the chickens, unfortunately we didn’t get to try the pineapples as they weren’t quite ripe. Such a shame, even the artwork on the walls was painted by Sandra herself - a Great artist

− That it states it’s a two bedroom but the double bed was in the lounge, plus no bath
