10.0Location was immense! Fantastic view of the bay for the elevated position on the hill. Kitchen well equipped, cooked full breakfast most mornings. Slept like a log in the comfy bed. Stromness was a lovely fishing town, with narrow streets and browsing shops. Hosts made us very welcome with all the essentials, plus some treats and fresh flowers! Hot tub was also amazing with the great view over the cove. The property was very private, 'Hoy' was the best view of the three rooms. Although the others were great too. Weather was also amazing for the week, we managed to get a lot of places of interest and restaurants in. Quality! Orkney should be on everyone's bucket list!
− Not much negative, not a huge selection of local restaurants, but those close are all nice. Some nice ones further a field too. A gas BBQ would have been a bonus.
A nice place to stay within walking distance of Stromness business district.
9.0We liked having the spa, the kitchenette, and a designated parking space. The bathrobes were a nice touch. It felt very private.
− Although there was a bit more space than many hotel rooms, we struggled with space - our suitcases took up much of the floor space when they were open. There are so many extra pillows they just took up space.
