Awesome stay on Koh Samui
10.0I have to say this is an iconic place. We felt its magic right after we crossed the doorstep of the property. Firstly, the location is gorgeous - on the hill overlooking the sea and the Ang Thong National Park. You wake up to this outstanding view and you do the sundowner with it as a backdrop. Weather permitting you can witness spectacular sunsets unobstructed by anything, all for your sheer pleasure of consuming the vistas. The villa has it all: well appointed rooms, great artisan decors, fantastic terrace and a generous swimming pool. It was absolutely splendid to take advantage of all that Villa Alizes has to offer. The hosts, Marie and Patrick, are quick to greet you, not in person but their welcome is really appreciated. They're in France but entire team on site is all ready to help you out and support you in everything. Jean-Marie, the local manager, explained everything to us in a good manner and without any redundant details. From that moment on we were only communicating with Jar and Bang, who stay at the villa downstairs and make your stay on Koh Samui an unforgettable experience. They do the cleaning, take care of all organizational stuff, maintenance of the pool, can help you with the trips on Samui and prepare meals if you are opting for that. Be warned, Jar is a fantastic cook and you will be spoiled by her cuisine. Breakfasts are abundant and yummy and for the dinner (paid separately) you can choose meals from an extensive menu provided. Whenever we could we wanted to eat the meals prepared by Jar. Not because we were so lazy to go out, but because everything was so genuine in taste and delicious. Jar and Bang are great personalities and quickly we felt like being a family to them. That feeling was mutual, obviously. All in all, I wholeheartedly recommend this place to anyone looking for a peaceful, intimate stay with all the comfort and convenience required. If you feel like interacting with the locals Jar and Bang will not disappoint you.
