The property is absolutely amazing! We had such a wonderful time and truly enjoyed every moment. The house is huge—even better than it looks in the pictures, which don’t fully capture its charm. The pool is large and refreshing, and the outdoor area is incredibly relaxing, surrounded by stunning nature that takes your breath away. Sunsets were amazing. All the facilities are top-notch, and Kostas and his parents were incredibly kind and welcoming. They even treated us to some local delicacies and homemade olive oil, which was such a thoughtful touch! We were a group of 9 people and had more than enough space. Even my brother, who stayed in the living room, was totally comfortable. It worked out perfectly for everyone. The location is also ideal—just a 10-minute drive to Kalyves beach, which is great for families and has many restaurants. Plus, there are several nearby villages with authentic tavernas serving delicious local food. We will definitely be back—already planning to return next year!

Unforgettable Crete

We arrived late in the evening and it was a holiday in Greece (all shops are closed). Kostas bought food for us to prepare breakfast in the morning and also brought food from the restaurant for dinner before our arrival. It was very nice and thoughtful of him. We were very tired because the flight was long and it took 1.5 hours to get from Heraklion to this place. Kostas is a great host, always responded to our questions and requests almost immediately. The villa turned out to be exactly what we wanted, a very quiet place, mountains on the left, snow cover (still) on the right the sea, fresh air. We didn't want to go anywhere, everything was so beautiful, we even stayed one day at the villa to enjoy it, swam, sat on the deck, had dinner and wine, watched the sunset. The views are breathtaking, villa has everything for lazy people like we are, sunbeds, washing machine, dishwasher, towels for the pool, covered deck, sofa on a deck, chairs, each bedroom has a small patio, 2 master bedrooms have direct access to the pool. We arrived when everything was in bloom and the villa has a very nice landscape design with a variety of flowers, plants, trees. It is located on the top of a hill, the gates opened automatically with our keys, which we appreciated as security. Our vacation on Crete was unforgettable.

Outstanding views

Upon arrival we were greeted by the hosts who were super friendly and showed us around the villa. They even left a home made dessert for us in the fridge which tasted amazing. There was also olive oil and fresh fruit. The villa is stunning and the views are absolutely breathtaking. The pool is a good size as well. They cleaned the villa and it was absolutely spotless, our clothes were even hung out to dry for us and belongings organised neatly. If you get up early enough, you'll see a small heard of goats surrounding the back of the villa which was lovely to wake up to. Kostas is just a message away and responds very quickly. The location for us was perfect as it's out of the way and very quiet but only a 25 minute drive to Chania and 35 minute drive to Rethymno. It's also only a 15 minute drive to Kalivaki beach and the town of Georgioupolis which is well worth a visit. There's also a lovely family run Taverna called Aposperida which is a 3 minute drive from the villa. Fantastic food. Thank you Kostas and the hospitality of your family

− Google Maps does not identify the tunnel you need to go through if you're coming from Chania and takes you down a horrid road. We found it the same day we arrived so it was ok but maybe this could be made clearer on the website.
