Location was awesome. Communication was very good and Sylvia was very helpful. House is very nice with lots of space. Check in and out was very easy. Our family loved the beautiful ocean views.

− Definitely needs a microwave oven, no televisions in any of the bedrooms and can do with another AC or two downstairs, it’s hot and humid. Views from the bedrooms are great but a tv is always better to have as an option than not..

Casa in posizione mozzafiato. Silvia e Carla le housekeeper sono di una gentilezza esagerata. Vengono ogni mattina a pulire e se si vuole si fermano a cucinare e silvia cucina magnificamente. House in a breathtaking location. Silvia and Carla the housekeepers are extraordinarily kind. They come every morning to clean and if you want they stop by to cook and Silvia cooks beautifully.

− Ora passiamo agli aspetti negativi. Abbiamo chiesto un early checkin che ci è stato concesso e arrivati non abbiamo trovato nessuto a riceverci, la casa in uno stato pietoso con cibo marcio in frigo, griglia sporca con puzzo di cibo marcio in casa, letti non fatti con lenzuola sporche, ragnetele nei bagni e nel forno, blatte nei bagni. Ci ha aperto un uomo a cui abbiamo segnalato lo stato di degrado e dopo aver visto lo stato della casa dopo 10 minuti è scappato dopo aver appena lavato il lavandino. Contattato il proprietario argentino manco si è degnato di rispondere e ha anche detto a booking che la casa era in ordine mettendoci ancora più in difficoltà. Booking pur essendo genius 3 non ci ha aiutato ne trovando una soluzione alternativa ne facendoci sapere cosa fare. Avevamo una telecamera che ci osservava nelle zone comuni come terrazzo e sono venuti dopo segnalazione di irregolarità a rimuoverla. Solo silvia e carla poi sono arrivate e hanno ribaltato la casa e pulita a fondo ma ci hanno messo 1 giorno finendo nel tardo pomeriggio. Now to the negative aspects. We asked for an early checkin which was granted and when we arrived we found no one to receive us, the house in a pitiful state with rotten food in the fridge, dirty grill with stench of rotten food in the house, beds not made with dirty sheets, cobwebs in the bathrooms and oven, cockroaches in the bathrooms. We were opened by a man to whom we reported the state of disrepair and after seeing the state of the house after 10 minutes he ran away having just washed the sink. Contacted the Argentine owner did not even deign to respond and even told booking that the house was in order putting us in even more difficulty. Booking despite being genius 3 did not help us either by finding an alternative solution or letting us know what to do. We had a camera watching us in the common areas such as the terrace and they came after reporting irregularities to remove it.

We had such a wonderful stay! Before our trip, I contacted the owner with a few questions and he promptly sent a document that not only answered everything but went above and beyond with helpful details. We arrived by private fishing boat, which dropped us right in front of the house. It cost a little more than the ferry, but the convenience was absolutely worth it. Sylvia was there to greet us, and even arranged for someone to deliver cold beers upon arrival—such a thoughtful touch! The house itself is right on the beach, with comfortable lounge chairs and a couple of kayaks available (though we didn’t use them). Inside, the space was large enough for all six of us to relax together—whether watching movies or playing games around the table. The kitchen was well-equipped for breakfast, and having unlimited filtered water was a huge plus (Sylvia made sure we always had a fresh supply when we were running low). The location is about a mile from town, which made for a pleasant beach walk. When we didn’t feel like walking back, 4-wheeler taxis were easy to grab. Since they only fit four people, we always needed two, but at 200 pesos each way it wasn’t a big deal. The only small downside was the rainy-season standing water, which brought out the bugs—so definitely pack plenty of bug spray! Sylvia and her team were amazing. They came daily for light cleaning, made our beds, and even offered laundry service (which we used toward the end of our stay). We had planned to have her cook a meal for us, but ended up spending our time on excursions—swimming with whale sharks, the 4-island tour, and horseback riding. Sylvia truly went above and beyond to make our stay easy and enjoyable. I can’t say enough good things about her and this home—we’d love to return!

− When we first arrived, the rooms were very hot, so I’d recommend having the A/C turned on before guests arrive—it would make for a much better first impression. The upstairs bedroom screens were also ripped, which made it harder to enjoy the ocean breeze and sound of the waves at night, especially with the bugs during rainy season. Additionally, the staircase and back porch don’t have railings, which could be a concern for families with small children or older travelers. None of these were deal breakers for us, but they’re worth noting.

The house is beautiful, and Silvia looked after us very well during our stay. It is right on the beach and we often had the beach to ourselves as it is a 10 minute taxi ride to the centre so not as busy as the main areas. Silvia cooked for us for 2 of the evenings we stayed and it was delicious each time - I would definitely recommend this.

− The only downside for us were the mosquitos! The house could have done with some plug in repellant options, or more candles (we found only one that wouldn't stay lit) as we got bitten in the house quite a lot.
