Whilst myself and my family did have a good time in Madeira, I do think that we were a little mislead with the pictures

− When cooking in the kitchen, there were huge cockroaches running around the counter-tops and the floors. I contacted the management who informed me that nothing could be done. Our check-in time was 4pm, however the cleaners did not leave until after 5pm which did mean that we had to alter some of our plans. When I informed the management regarding this they stated I was lucky that the house was cleaned. The toilet in the shower-room by the top of the stairs was blocked and therefore un-usable, as a large party, this caused us quite a bit of inconvenience and also created a very unpleasant smell. The bedroom at the end which has an en-suite had a very unpleasant and dirty smell in the shower room which also spread to the bedroom which was made it really difficult to sleep in, and use. The beds in general are very hard and uncomfortable, and the pillows need to be changed as they are very hard to sleep on. The bottom step of the swimming pool is broken and needs fixing or needs replacing. It is very sharp, and my little girl injured her foot on this. The house in general is very worn and outdated compared to the pictures which are posted online. This gives a false impression of what the house looks like in real life and it would be beneficial to either give the house some re-decoration or post more up to date pictures of the home.

High quality, spacious, and stylish bedrooms, reception rooms and outdoor area. The property was much more impressive and well appointed than the pictures and description online. The booking, payment, contact, and check in process was very smooth and the hosts were very helpful and responsive. Very good value for money and a very comfortable and enjoyable stay.

− The location was clearly described online and in the information provided by the hosts. However the steep narrow roads and the confusing road naming and address system caused some minor confusion with taxi drivers. Perfect location to get around the island and close to airport and Funchal city centre.

You got everything you need. Simple instructions, great location. Once you get your bearings around the place you good to go. Nice swimming pool, pool table, music system. Very secured

Good location, good size villa and nice views. Pool is a great addition.

− No hot water for the whole 5 days we stayed and electricity cut out a few times. Place is a bit outdated, especially the bathrooms.
