Beautiful retro villa with refreshing swimming pool

The villa is a gorgeous, spacious, characterful property ideal for a large group. If you’re looking for sleek and modern, this is not the place for you. If you’re after rustic charm and retro vibes, then you’ll love it. Swimming pool was a real bonus too.

− Communication could have been better leading up to check in. I received zero emails from the host despite me sending several to confirm check in procedure. We arrived at the property and nobody was waiting. I called the listed number several times and nobody picked up. We went to the property next door and the lady kindly gave us the correct number. I called and the host told us where to find the keys. She turned up about 2 hours later and advised of tourist tax (which we were expecting), but also asked for a €300 cash security deposit and €100 for cleaning. These were unexpected fees and could have been sorted out prior if the host had emailed us with details. I must stress, the host was very nice. Hot water at the property was low. Luke warm shower only ever available. This wasn’t a huge issue as the weather was warm. There was a tv that we tried to use one night just to watch a movie after a nice dinner. But it wasn’t working. There isn’t any air con in the property but they do have fans. No basics like tea or coffee are provided, nor are there any soaps etc. We managed fine but these are just things to note so you can bring things along with you. We had a very relaxing stay. It’s a beautiful villa.

Very spacious and clean. Lovely garden and swimming pool. Quiet and very relaxing, easy access to local towns, we had a wonderful holiday. Thank you!

− Nothing much, decor a little dated and due to older electricity supply fewer appliances eg microwave available. Car needed to get around.

you have an old villa with lots of character all to yourself. Great terrace to relax. Nice pool with enough chairs to relax. The house is really big. You have 2 floors (3rd is storage). Supermarkets and restaurants are nearby (within 10 minutes drive). Lots of activities or cities to visit within an hour drive.

− Nothing. But remember this is an old villa with matching furniture. If you want everything modern and new this might not be the place for you. Pool is not that deep (about 1,5 meters). No problem, but is you really want a deep pool, this is not the one.

A wonderful holiday time

Gorgeous and peaceful place. The villa has everything that you need for a family of 5. Kids loved the pool that was nicely shaded from around 1pm, preventing excessive sun / sunburn

− In the evening, all bats living up the roof are very active, making a bit of a mess at the terrace. On the other hand, there were hardly any mosquitoes flying around. The Internet wifi extensions would be recommended since there is a weak mobile network signal
