Great location close to the beach, plenty of space for a large group, a private yard, and a large rooftop terrace.

− However, for a high price for this vila, we expected a much higher standard of quality and maintenance. During our stay, we experienced several issues. As soon as we entered the house, there was a very strong smell of dampness. The air conditioning was not working properly, and although the host responded quickly and explained how to fix it, we had to solve the problem ourselves. A few days later, the water supply stopped due to nearby maintenance work, and once again we had to follow the host's instructions and fix the issue ourselves. Without tools, this would have been very difficult. But came to the house quickly and fix everything. The kitchen was well equipped with pots and pans, but the cabinets were very disorganized. Too much kitchen equippment and its like kind a mess. A hairdryer was listed among the amenities, but there was none in the villa. The rooftop terrace was not prepared for guests to relax there. The sun loungers were rusty, with exposed nails in some places, making them unsafe to use. There was also a trampoline in the yard, but it was torn and unsafe for children to use.

A lovely relaxing holiday, with amenities locally - recommend car hire for wider travel

We were met at the location and the keys were given to us. The host was always very quick to respond to queries and very helpful, from the point of booking, right throughout our stay. The house was comfortable and set in lovely gardens, with trees that provided shade and fresh air, even in the heat of the day. There is a ground floor terrace and first floor balcony to sit on, and we had use of the roof terrace also, with sunbeds, chairs and comfy hammocks - good for sunbathing and with shady areas too. The kitchen was well-equipped, we had access to towels, tea towels etc, so were well supplied. There was good free running hot water and showers. Wifi was good in the house. Bedrooms were comfortable. It was a very relaxed and easy place to be in. The house is set in a little tourist neighbourhood, along from a large hotel and other resort venues. There are a couple of small shops in the vicinity with limited supplies, as well as a few nice tourist cafes, bars and restaurants, and a good local market stall with fruit, vegetables, eggs and bread for sale - handy for cooking at home. The house is about a minute's walk from the beach, which was lovely and quiet and accessible. Shade is available from straw umbrellas dotted around, and the sea was lovely to swim in.

− The location was a little cut off, in terms of access to buses and shops, supermarkets etc - those in the locality were quite pricey. If we had known this before, we definitely would have hired a car in advance - as it was, we were uncertain and didn't choose to. But the host was very helpful, both before and during the stay, to provide information about possibilities for car hire, and we were able to easily book taxis, for trips to Tirana and Durres, which were good enough value for money. Unfortunately, some of us suffered a bit from the impact of mosquitoes - which were quiet and insistent! This isn't a fault of the accommodation or host obviously, but helpful to be aware of. Very usefully, there is a health centre and pharmacy in the resort, so we were able to get needed remedies.

This was one of the most comfortable stays we’ve had in Albania, which we visit yearly for the past 20 years.

Our large family stayed at the property for a little over two weeks. The house was very spacious and fully air conditioned, with all amenities needed to feel like home. Beautiful garden providing shade on those tropic days, and splendid rooftop terrace for relaxing in the evening. The beds were very comfortable. Very family-friendly as the property had toys, trampoline, bicycles/scooters for children which were great to use. The house had a lot of seating areas, making it possible for a large family like ours to either get together, or relax in smaller groups. Own beach tent with four sun-beds and private beach was an extra bonus. Gracious hosts - very helpful, easy to to reach and friendly.
