The place is wonderful. Clean, spacious, lots of outdoor space and the spa and sauna are amazing. The hosts were easy to reach if you have any questions. Good location, private with lots of nature surrounding you!

Amazing family time turned to DISASTER

Check-in was delayed by 15 minutes, which was fine. However, upon receiving the access code, we got an “automatic” message stating that no fire equipment could be used due to municipal fire hazard restrictions. The information was outdated, and we had to call the city ourselves to confirm that fire utilities were indeed permitted. That was only the beginning of our weekend. As soon as we finished eating, a power outage occurred. While this was obviously beyond the host’s control, the only compensation offered was an additional 1–4 hours on the last day of our stay. Unfortunately, since our phones had discharged during the outage, we couldn’t even respond to accept or decline the offer. We ended up losing a significant amount of food—meat, dairy, and more. The jacuzzi and sauna were unusable (understandable during an outage), but to make matters worse, the BBQ had no propane. The biggest problem was that the running water depended on electricity, leaving us without toilets, handwashing, or bathing facilities. With two young children, this was extremely difficult.

− Although both Hydro-Québec and the host assured us power would return within hours, it never did. We held on to hope, but our weekend was ultimately ruined. We asked for a partial refund, since we did not receive the basic amenities we paid for, but instead of compensation we only got excuses and apologies. Worse still, they gave us no updates to help with the situation—we had to reach out ourselves a week later just to get an answer. The response was simply that the outage was beyond their control and that they were “sorry.” Unfortunately, this didn’t change the fact that we paid for a Zen getaway that was anything but Zen. To make matters worse, prior to the weekend I had asked through chat if it was possible to bring a dog and, if so, what the fee would be. Instead of answering first, they immediately attempted to charge me an additional $230 without explanation. This shows a lack of professionalism and attentiveness. Chatting with them in general was tedious: when I started the conversation in French, they switched mid-chat to English. They also kept trying to send me a link that the website blocked for security reasons, yet they resent those censored links repeatedly for nearly a week. Communication was frustrating and ineffective at every step. Host/management are not eager to help, communicate properly, send updated information regarding the stay, or resolve reimbursement fairly. If I could, I would give this place minus 10 stars. I strongly recommend avoiding this rental due to the lack of competence, accountability, and willingness to assist guests. The only positives were that the place itself was clean and located in a nice area.

Washroom and kitchen and beds were clean and comfortable

− The cotage it is not well maintained, There is weed everywhere around the cottage and lot's of bugs because of that, the deck was half painted, the spa cover was broken so the spa was dirty, the sofa was full of hair and not clean. The location is just ok. The pictures in the booking are not representative of the reality. Especially the outside.

great stay and location, we enjoyed the sauna and jacuzzi quite a bit, the house was roomy and beds comfortable. And we loved the quietness and peaceful environment.
