This is one of the best cabins we have ever stayed in, all the facilities were spot on, the sauna was easy to use and heated up quickly, the hot tub was the perfect temperature every night and in a fantastic spot for watching the northern lights. Katja was the best host, helping us with all our needs including when our car wouldn’t start due to the extreme cold temperatures we had during our stay. I would also definitely recommend going to see the reindeer at Katja’s farm as this was a great experience and making use of the bbq hut which is a short walk from the villa. Thanks for a great stay, we hope to be back in the future.

We stayed for 6 nights, departing on 23rd December and can honestly say this place is magical, in the middle of the forest on the edge of a lake, a tranquil winter wonderland! The indoor sauna was perfect for warming us after a day in the cold and the outdoor hot tub was amazing, from which we saw the aurora on 2 of the 6 nights (a truly bucket list moment). There is a steep hill running from the property down to the lake which the kids absolutely loved sledging down and had endless fun with (sledges all provided by the property). Inside of the property was immaculately presented with everything you could ever need for a stay of any duration, tastefully decorated and we even had a Christmas tree 😃. Katja was an amazing host and kept us updated where needed via what’s app which was perfect.

− The isolation of this place may not suit all, we were an hour from the centre of Rovaniemi so would definitely recommend shopping before you arrive, we hired a car so this was easy, although I think we were a bit unlucky with the weather (or lucky depending on how you look at it) it had snowed heavily before we arrived and during our stay this just turned to ice and made the roads perilously dangerous, we didn’t let this stop us though and have lived to tell the tail (honestly if you are a nervous driver on snow and ice then this place is not for you, my wife spent the entire time that we were driving with her eyes closed)

The villa was very beautiful and Katja is a wonderful person! There was a little welcome present, a short introduction and the day trip to the farm was our highlight. The villa had everything we needed and even more. We were a group of 6 and hat enough space for everyone. We would book this villa again and again a BIG THANK YOU KATJA for making our trip to Lappland so unforgettable.

Magical villa in winter wonderland

Absolutely magical place, just in front of a lake (frozen in winter). We loved everything about it. The whole area felt like it was only for you. The villa itself has all the amenities and is extremely cozy and cute. Our highlight was seeing the Aurora Borealis from the jackuzi. Also Katja was super nice, helpful and responsive about everything. We are hoping to come back there.
