Our stay at Chalet Murmi was seriously compromised both by the lack of adequate heating and by the extremely unwelcoming attitude of the hosts. Additionally, the property is located approximately 20 minutes by car from the ski slopes, which is worth noting. The listing states that the property has heating, but upon arrival it turned out that the underfloor heating system is centrally controlled and heavily restricted by the owner. The temperature in the bedrooms was 17–19°C, which is uncomfortable for a winter stay and a ski holiday. The host confirmed that the 22°C we requested cannot be achieved, explaining this with technical limitations of the heating system and describing it as the “normal operating mode” of the house, although this information is not mentioned in the listing or the house rules. The only way to warm up the living area was by using the fireplace, which required us to purchase firewood separately, despite the property being advertised as heated. Unfortunately, when we tried to discuss the situation, we were met with an extremely rude and unwelcoming attitude. On the day of departure, we were literally told: “You have 8 minutes to leave the house,” which is completely unacceptable behavior toward guests. If you value winter comfort and respectful treatment by hosts, I strongly recommend clarifying all details in advance or choosing a different accommodation.

− Unser Aufenthalt im Chalet Murmi wurde sowohl durch unzureichende Heizleistung als auch durch das äußerst ungastfreundliche Verhalten der Gastgeber erheblich beeinträchtigt. Zusätzlich befindet sich die Unterkunft etwa 20 Minuten mit dem Auto von den Skipisten entfernt, was berücksichtigt werden sollte. In der Unterkunftsbeschreibung ist angegeben, dass das Chalet über Heizung verfügt. Vor Ort stellte sich jedoch heraus, dass die Fußbodenheizung zentral gesteuert und stark begrenzt vom Eigentümer ist. Die Temperatur in den Schlafzimmern lag bei 17–19°C, was für einen Winteraufenthalt und einen Skiurlaub nicht komfortabel ist. Der Gastgeber bestätigte, dass die von uns gewünschten 22°C nicht erreicht werden können, und begründete dies mit technischen Einschränkungen der Heizungsanlage, die als „normaler Betriebsmodus“ des Hauses bezeichnet wurden. Diese Einschränkungen sind jedoch weder in der Anzeige noch in den Hausregeln erwähnt. Der einzige Weg, den Wohnbereich zu erwärmen, war die Nutzung des Kamins, wofür wir zusätzlich Brennholz kaufen mussten, obwohl die Unterkunft mit Heizung beworben wird. Leider wurden wir bei dem Versuch, die Situation zu klären, mit einem äußerst unhöflichen und ungastfreundlichen Verhalten konfrontiert. Am Tag der Abreise wurde uns wörtlich gesagt: „Sie haben 8 Minuten, um das Haus zu verlassen.“ Ein solches Verhalten gegenüber Gästen ist vollkommen inakzeptabel. Wenn Ihnen winterlicher Komfort und ein respektvoller Umgang durch die Gastgeber wichtig sind, empfehlen wir dringend, alle Details im Voraus zu klären oder eine andere Unterkunft zu wählen.

The property was superb but the brusque atmosphere left us feeling disappointed with our stay.

Contemporary, spacious property presented to a high standard. Village location convenient for ski buses and supermarket.

− Arrived Saturday evening with 2 young children to be informed by the host that all local shops were closed until Monday. Only option to obtain essential supplies was via a bus to the next village the following morning. A welcome pack with bread and milk would have been a nice touch. As a family we unfortunately did not feel particularly welcome, and was made to feel like scolded children when we inadvertently misunderstood the ‘house rules’, or walked on the floor without removing our shoes. I have rented many holiday homes and this was my least favourite and regrettably I could not recommend the property.
