We really enjoyed our stay and exploring the Soca valley. Every member of the family found something special to do aroun

The location of the cottage is exceptional and offers a rare opportunity to connect with nature. The hut is a 10 minute walk from the parking lot, the only neighbouring hut cannot be heard or seen. The only noises come from the river running below and the birds. The beds are comfortable and the kitchen actually has everything one could want + BNQs on the outdoor fire. Many details are taken care of: insect repellent, binoculars, food essentials are all kindly provided. We left some items for the next guests.

The cottage does have some downsides: the outdoor space is not very large, the ground floor is a little dark, and the bridge one needs to cross is slippery when wet (but is extremely well built). We arrived with trolleys - not very smart: rucksacks would be better. Conversely, we were smart enough to arrive equipped with head torches, which were very useful.

Krásná příroda, viděli jsme lišku i kozoroha. Majitel moc laskavý, čistota hezká.

Úžasné místo uprostřed nádherné přírody, kde jsme dokonce zahlédli lišku i kozoroha. Majitel byl neuvěřitelně laskavý a ochotný, všechno proběhlo bez problémů. Přijeli jsme v šesti kamarádech a pobyt jsme si naprosto užili!

Fotky by mohly být nafocené trochu lépe, aby si hosté udělali jasnější představu o ubytování

Cosy little house, unique quiet location, great mountain views

10.0

This place is one of a kind, what a treasure! To get there, you follow excellent directions that the owners provide you with. The first few meters are quite steep, but after that, it’s pretty easy. Andrej, the contact person, is very nice and helpful. He’s the son of Sandi, the architect who turned an old sheepfold into the cosy place that the cottage is now. It has everything you need: fresh water straight from the mountains, electricity from solar panels, a fridge that operates on gas. The kitchen is not big, but well equipped. The beds are fine, too. Outside, there’s a nice big table with benches, four comfortable lounge chairs and a place for camp fires. The views of the mountains (including Jalovec and its two neighbours) are astonishing. In the vicinity of the cottage, one can do various excellent hikes (many of these are not too difficult, but you do need sturdy boots and sticks are handy, too). The Soča river is amazing… There’s so much to do, see and experience here that you’ll want to extend your stay!

Heating the boiler (by making a small fire in it) takes a while. This can be a bit of a hassle, although it does make you appreciate your shower even more!

Beautiful, quiet and authentic mountain hut

9.0

The location is absolutely incredible. You feel like you have the mountains completely to yourself. We loved the hut, too. It is not luxury, it's simple and primitive, and that is exactly what makes it nice. We cooked every day, and the kitchen had what we needed for the cooking: running water, gas stove, pots and pans etc.
