Perfect, peaceful cottage

This lovely, rustic cabin is the perfect place to stay for peace, quiet and nature. There are spectacular views over the Julian Alps and a beautiful garden to sit and relax. There are several walks from the cottage including a circular gorge walk and a shorter walk to the next hill with views over Lake Bled. Inside, there is a comfortable living room with picture window, well appointed kitchen and two cosy bedrooms up a steep, narrow staircase. We ate out two of the three nights we stayed here at the Guesthouse Anž’k at the bottom of the driveway. The traditional Slovenian stews were so good we had to go back again - our 16 year old son said the goulash was the best he’d ever had and asked for a double potion the second night! The homemade Bled cream cake and apple strudel was superb. The guesthouse owners were so nice and gave us great recommendations for places to visit as well as letting us sample their homemade liqueurs. This cottage was perfectly situated for peace and relaxation but close enough to Bled to do lots of fun activities like canyoning and swimming on the lake. We wish we could have stayed longer but have made many happy memories.

− The property was wonderful but the stairs very narrow so not ideal if you have mobility issues.

The host is wonderful and very kind, the cottage is beautiful, clean and everything we needed. The location is spectacular. Great views, peaceful place great links to everywhere we needed to go. The facilities were perfect and we enjoyed our time immensely.

− There's nothing we could possibly dislike. The cottage was everything we wanted and more. Our host was lovely and helpful. We don't have a bad thing to say about anything.

U Fairytale Cottage smo proveli 4 prekrasna snježna dana. Kuća je izuzetno topla, opremljena električnim radijatorima i s peći na drva. Kuhinja je mala ali izvrsno opremljena. Prostor je vrlo uredan i ugodno uređen. Kreveti su udobni. Kuća je savršeno smještena pri vrhu brežuljka na rubu šume. Pogled iz dnevnog boravka na okolne planine je prekrasan. Urška je nenametljivi domaćin, uvijek na raspolaganju.

− Il bagno molto scomodo. Le scale molto scomode. Credo che l'acqua provenga da una cisterna vicino o sotto la casa che bisogna utilizzare con parsimonia per evitare di rimanere senza acqua per la durata del soggiorno. Gli ospiti dovrebbero essere avvertiti di questo inconveniente.

Fantasztikus csend és nyugalom a hegytetőn.
