9.0Great location, lovely lodge that is cozy and warm. Has everything needed for a large group. They had the fire ready for us on arrival. Lots of fire wood. Walk down to the river was beautiful. Such a great spot when visiting the mountains.
− Small communication issue with 1 less towel than number of people but thankfully we had some spare towels. Could not figure out how to work the oven, some instructions would be a good idea.Beds are not very comfortable but I am known to be a little picky with comfort. These are very minor concerns. The place was amazing.

10.0Great location, kids loved exploring the house and playing in the beautiful garden. We made good use of the seasaw and trampoline. Lovely bush surrounds. Fell asleep listening to ruru. The campervan park further up the driveway was so handy for our visitors who booked a spot for the same nights as our visit. The large tables in the lodge were perfect for shared meals. We had a great time, highly recommend

The best lodge around
10.0There were 7 of us staying for the weekend to do the tongariro crossing. The owner was immediately friendly and helpful from the minute I made the reservation. He went out of his way to help provide us with extra amenities that we needed. Carla, the lady who manages the property in David's absence was just incredible. What a wonderful lady. The food was divine, the welcome home with the fire burning was sensational. The warmth and friendliness we experienced here was just superb. It made our weekend so memorable. Everyone said the same. Thank you so much to both of you. You know I will be back 😊
