− The facilities including kitchen/dining were great. Staff were lovely too but run ragged by also working at adjacent council facilities. So small important steps like getting coins for the washer dryers took time away from exploring the islands. I get the financial pressures but this dual role could have been made clearer before arrival with simpler communications (eg a duty mobile phone number ahead of arrival).

Great place to stay: clean, convenient affordable.
9.0Everything about the hostel is very good except the pillows are a bit slim. We only get one so having the option of having two would be great.
− Noise transfer from adjacent room. One night I had someone clanging and banging around at 12:30 and 2:30 am and could not get back to sleep after 2:30.
