Beautiful gardens, barely adequate ££ room.

I was staying in the Elizabethan wing - Stella Maris - in the heatwave. It was like an oven. No effort had been made to cool it down by closing the blinds or opening the doors to get a breeze through. I was offered a fan. Thankfully I had brought a cooling fan with me which meant I could just about sleep. It was in need of refurbishment but the bed was comfortable enough. There was very little storage space and the bathroom is far down the corridor. Luckily there were very few people there because it seemed to be 1 bathroom to about 5 rooms. The floorboards creak loudly so you will go to sleep with the owls and wake up with the larks. There is a kitchen but it’s not very functional. It really needs a small freezer, some pans, a colander and something to wash up with! It was mostly clean. I can’t remember if it had an oven/hob but I did see a washing machine. There was a fridge. Breakfast is unhelpfully early. It’s good if you like yoghurt or a cooked breakfast. The coffee is reasonable. The gardens are absolutely stunning. Personally I found the Roman Catholic shrine and Walsingham Abbey to be where it’s at spiritually but the Anglicans have created a beautiful copy of the holy house and it’s worth taking the water from the well. I gather that (as you might expect) St Joseph’s is the better accommodation at the Anglican Shrine. Well, he is the patron saint of houses! All in all I would not stay again unless I could have en suite. I thought it expensive too.

The room was right on the road but it does have double glazing so you don’t hear too much noise with the windows closed. The window is tiny. The food generally at Little Walsingham is very unhealthy apart from some options at the farm shop. Next time I will go self catering. I ate curry a lot (amazing curry at the Bull) and gained 2 kilos in 4 days! Sort it out, Little Walsingham! He who eats well lives well!

Great stay and very interesting to discover such a quaint village with such historic importance.

All really good no issues, little bit of door banging late at night and early in the morning but otherwise all good.

Bad accomodation so so hot and why I have to get asked to take the beddings off on my final day not

Breakfast was great and location is beautiful but my bedroom is bad so hot and even asked to strip the beddings on leaving, i would have enjoyed my stay if I am on a newer building not on an old building on my own

the building was an old building and I am by myself also it' s so so hot inspite of asking for a fan .I dont mind to share the bathroom but no shower only a bath. I was scared , felt an ease as I realized I seems to be the only one in the area of the building

Excellent location for the village, great breakfast… would book again

Great location nice and calm and a mix of old and new , great breakfast. Accommodation was good, shared bathroom along the corridor was ok obviously not ideal but not an issue.

There’s no parking on site - 1st world problem, but the local carpark is only a 5 minute walk. Past the pub !!!
