Falling down, student flat vibes.
1.0Good hot shower. Close to the town.
− We are a seasoned hostel family using hostels throughout NZ. We found Annie’s to be an oddity. Most noticeable was parts of the main Building are not fit for purpose. All bathrooms completely wet with condensation due to no extractor fans and bathroom floors ominously saggy and soft under the linoleum. Annie’s is quirky old house past its prime with diy additions that have damaged its structural integrity. There’s a somewhat cosy presentation with the wood burner in one kitchen area and books and couches with an old heater in another area. Efforts have been made to cater to guests comfort but missing light bulbs, broken curtain rails, fixtures and wear and tear let the place down.

− Niestety obiekt ma już swoje lata i przydałoby się odświeżenie; w pokoju, który miałem ogrzewanie było do kitu - zaledwie farelka, którą należy wyłączać w nocy, przez co mimo dodatkowej kołdry było mi zimno
Basic hostel, friendly atmosphere
9.0Room was in a separate building to the main house so it was quiet though did have to venture out into cold/rain for at night for bathrooms/loo visits :) Was raining and chilly while I was there, appreciated there were heaters in the room and lounge
− Minor points: Would have liked a desk or table in the room. A working guitar in the lounge would have been nice too (got spoiled at other hostels :)
