8.0Staff amazing, beautiful view. Very clean
− Nothing
A stay with a view
8.0The location is spot on for access to the local walks and trails. The breakfast and evening meals are really good and at a good price. Drinks too. Bedrooms had a sink which was good. The showers are spot on.
− The mattress was not comfortable for me and my hips. I was forced to double up on the bed using the spare mattress. The room was very stuffy as the window could only be raised 4 inches on a hot summers night it was HOT. The toilet hand dryer’s didn’t work even after we informed the staff.
Lovely
7.0It’s a grand building on lovely land, the accommodation we stayed in were the pods- they were very basic but better than a tent. We all enjoyed it.
− Nothing
It is a beautiful, peaceful location, the camping pods are comfortable and in a lovely relaxed envirl
7.0The location is beautiful, we didn’t have breakfast at the youth hostel.
− The hostel was looking a bit tired:0( it would benefit from a little tlc to the grounds and buildings
Perfect place to stay for scenery, walks and peace.
10.0I loved to scenery and the peaceful place it was. There's a real sense of onward adventure within it.
− I didn't like the breakfast. I paid £12 each for 4 of us but as my children don't feel comfortable in confined spaces and with lots of people they ended up not eating and walking back to the room. They serve you, 1 item of each and super small portions although you can help yourself to continental which you have to eat first before having cooked. It's back to back compact in that little eatery and not a lot on the menu for my little lot so ended up at a chippy down in town for tea time. My advice is to bring your own as there's a kitchen you can cook in with plenty of outdoor seating and a little of indoor seating. The tea menu was also very pricey too so if your traveling on a budget...
