7.0Facilities were great, the staff were very nice, friendly and quite social. The female dorm was comfortable, you set your own bed which is customary and never an issue in my book. Close to the city center and I set right by the train station. Bathroom and showers were clean and comfortable. The journaling aspect was cute but you’d do it on your own accord (I expected there to be more of a set activity such as group lead journaling or something of the sort) Kitchen is well equipped with everything you might need to cook.
− The journaling area is also the common area and it sets a quiet environment that makes it kind of uncomfortable to actually socialize. I was there off season and I do suppose that it is a part of it but other then the staff there wasn’t really a social atmosphere. This is a great place and if the social aspect isn’t that important to you it’s an amazing option but as a solo traveler I did see it as a downside.

8.0長野駅から徒歩10分程度で利用しやすい。 到着時間が23時で遅くなったが、アクセス方法を丁寧な画像とともに示してもらえたので問題なく入館できた。
− 遅く到着して、早朝に出発したため施設の詳細は確認できなかったが、１階の共有スペースの照明のスイッチの場所が良くわからなかった。

10.0The location is walking distance from Nagano station which is very convenient. The rooms were very clean and comfortable to sleep. I stayed on the female only dorm so the bathroom/ showers were on a different floor but it was fine. I love the main floor journaling concept. The hostel has a wonderful Scottish couple working there now and they were so friendly and helped me find a place to watch the Fifa World Cup! Had the best time

10.0Staff was super friendly. The lounge was very cozy. The journalling theme was unique and it was fun to read other travellers' previous entries. You even get to make your own journal. I highly recommend

7.0Friendly hostel in good location less than ten minutes walk from the station. Bunks were spacious and had privacy curtains too.
− Could be cleaner - hostel was scruffy and tired. Staff clean regularly but it needs some renovation.
