Nice hostel on beautiful grounds and attached to hotel
7.0Excellent location, lovely walks and river beside the hostel. Have use of hotel facilities. Towels provided and free parking. On-site restaurant at the hotel but we didn't use. We used the shared kitchen to cook our meals instead. Big kitchen and communal lounge areas. Clean rooms and beds. Separate toilet and shower room within the dorm room we stayed in and two basins also contained within room, great when sharing with others and no waiting for bathroom to be free.. Privacy barrier to each bed and plug sockets, lights, shelf.
− Wifi was down, so unable to use devices in the rooms. Had to go to the library/lounge at the hotel for internet access. Beds were not that comfortable and pillows too flat. No toiletries unfortunately. No labels to label food stored in fridge/freezer or cupboards in the kitchen. We had someone help themselves to our full bottle of milk, though I doubt a label would have deterred them.

− Too many groups there at once. We couldnt get near the kitchen facilities this time on our third visit. The games room was taken over by a cycling group aswell. There was no ventilation anywhere in the high heat it was very hard to catch a breath indoors, and outdoors was swarmed by midgees.
