Like a prison.

− Cockroaches. Heards of them. Dodgy commuall residential facility for mihrsnt workers. Terrible like all hotels in Singapore cheaper then 100 usd per night. Pretty much like a prison. Not a shame on staff. Shame on Singapore. Absolutely inadequately overpriced destination with doubtfull return on your money. By the way, I rarely see so many cockroaches in hotel rooms as I see them in Singapore (paying almost 100usd per night in "cheap" Singaporean hotels). Real shame for nation. Singapore could be outstanding 25 years ago, but nowadays it's just another city with nothing special. Standard tourist money pumping kitch. Only the last glimpses of the colonial architecture make it a bit remarkable, but not special. Not worth the money. Neither hotels, nor Singapore as destination.
