Excellent friendly staff and superb value for money
10.0I had a fantastic 14-night stay at Cabana Surf Camp. The standout was definitely the staff. They are probably the friendliest and most welcoming people I've come across in all my travels through Indonesia. Nothing was ever too much trouble, and they were always happy to help with anything I needed. The complimentary breakfast every morning was excellent. I especially enjoyed the scrambled eggs and banana pancakes. Everything was fresh and a great way to start the day. The staff made everything incredibly easy. They organised a scooter within minutes, arranged my airport transfers both to and from the camp without any hassle, and were always available to answer questions or help with local advice. The camp has a relaxed, friendly atmosphere with a pool table, cold beers available, and a great location. It's within walking distance of the local point break and only about a 10-minute scooter ride to Wajembu, making it an excellent base for surfing the area. Overall, the service was exceptional and made my stay thoroughly enjoyable.
− There really wasn't anything I disliked. If I had to be very picky, I booked a twin room, so naturally it had two single beds. I would have preferred a queen or king bed, but I knew exactly what I was booking, so that's not a criticism of the camp. The beds were also quite low to the ground. At 51 years old, getting in and out of bed was a little less comfortable than a standard-height bed, but it certainly wasn't a major issue. On one evening during my 14-night stay, there was a wedding nearby and the music continued later into the evening than I would have liked. I mentioned it to the staff, and they immediately offered to move me to a quieter room on the other side of the camp. In the end I stayed where I was and managed to fall asleep anyway, but I really appreciated how quickly they offered a solution. Overall, I would happily stay here again and highly recommend Cabana Surf Camp to anyone visiting the area.

8.0The staff were amazing, Yuza, Yosi and Repa are very kind, accommodating, and always smiling. Our room was pretty good: bed was comfortable, furniture in the room was great, and also a great view in the upstairs room. AC worked great.
− The hot water was unreliable, which is normal for this town / area as I found out from speaking to other people staying in nearby accommodation. The water pressure was not good either, so showers were the only downside.
