A pleasant stay in rural Thailand
9.0I stayed in a little separate cottage. Good mattress, OK pillows (for a Westerner), plenty of plugs, plenty of light, desk, refrigerator, bathroom good. The resort is very pleasant, with a garden setting. There is a restaurant for breakfast. The facility will cook dinner. The pad khraphao was good! The staff is efficient, and arranged a ride for me to the next stage of my journey through Loei. (The property also has tents for backpackers. I mistakenly reserved a tent, not a cottage, but the efficient staff corrected my error.) The owner also takes care of rescue cats and dogs. For people who don't like cats or dogs, don't worry, they are well-behaved and not instrusive!! But I do, so this was another pleasant aspect of the resort.
− The location is rural. It's so rural there's no 7-Eleven or PTT! For example, a restaurant is nearby, but it closes early (since farmers go to bed early). This meant I was dependent on the resort for food and sundries (like toothpaste) but the staff is efficient so there's no problem

− The AC was noisy, I had to fashion ear plugs. The plumbing leaked all over the bathroom floor. There were ants roaming the floor. The bed was to hard. Sorry, would not stay again.
