We stayed at both Siladen and Coral Eye (same management) for 10 days. Both are incredible, but also quite different. Siladen is attuned to its environment. You eat buffet style at tables set on the beach. The cabins are wooden and fit the local style. The pool and common areas look out over a nearby volcano. The Bunaken National Park is nearby, assessable by a short boat ride, and offers unsurpassed snorkeling among turtles, fish and coral. Coral Eye is far more refined. You are served your meals in a new facility. The cabins are polished cement. The pool and common areas are separated from the beach and sea by vegetation. The best snorkeling is right off the pier but nowhere near the level of Bunaken. It’s a gorgeous resort - it could be the location for White Lotus - but not especially Indonesian. We split our time between these two, and if you have time I’d recommend that. If you have to choose, go for Siladen. The management of both is exceptional. The service level is well above anything you’ll find elsewhere in Indonesia.

− For 3 people sharing one cabin, the cost per night, including transportation and 5 days of snorkeling, is close to $900/night. It’s a premium experience and not inexpensive. But you have memories to last a lifetime.

Struttura moderna e curata in ogni dettaglio. Cucina Italo-Indonesiana di livello, con menù vario a la carte con ingredienti di qualità. Tutto il personale gentilissimo pronto ad accomodare ogni tuo desiderio. Diving center top class, con DM preparatissimi, attenti e scrupolosi. Un plauso a Giulia ed Andrea per aver reso questo posto magnifico e per essere sempre pronti a rendere il tuo soggiorno un’esperienza indimenticabile.

The management and staff were outstanding. The food (Indonesian, or Italian) incredible. The house reef in front of the hotel was very nice for snorkling, and the hotel is just beautiful. Small, in nature, and with so much taste however you want to look at it. Students and researchers of marine biology are at the hotel doing resarch, so at 630pm there are talks about different fish and their behavior. I would recommend it very highly. If you have small kids, it will be easier if they are very good swimmers at least in this season.

Everything! Breath- taking views, beautiful coral and fish, a stunning resort with wonderful, professional staff! Personalised service and I was spoilt with the most delicious food and even a nice birthday cake! Thanks for making my stay absolutely unforgettable and my birthday so special too,. It was a great time I had the opportunity to have spent with you. I will definitely highly recommend Coral Eye to all, wishing to experience a truely amazing Island holiday with all luxurious included. The resort staff had all stolen a piece of my heart! They were friendly, kind, professional, helpful and I have felt welcomed by all. I would like to return and trust that it will become a reality in the near future.
