We liked the feeling of being almost alone on the island. There is such peaceful atmosphere, beautiful nature and you can really rest and enjoy. Probably the best thing there is the excellent fresh seafood they prepare. Truly delicious. They have a singer that performs on the beach, there is a small store, staff is very friendly, you can go around on foot or with bicycles, they take you to a sandbank... we extended our stay. We tried triple room and a water villa and the villa is just amazing.

− Basically for such properties we come to enjoy pindrop silence, peace and family time, I am unaware that they do have day packages, unfortunately the day we landed is a Sunday, and huge crowd near the villa taken away my peace, I haven’t planned for a carnival, we want absolute peace in those locations to stay, and for international visitors the food choices are quite low, they only serve what they have , the breakfast is complimentary but we will get only gorengans, apart from that staff are not slow and they have Saftey equipment but won’t use or advise to the guests , no life guard . It’s good place but if you’re going to enjoy silence and peace, might not be right choice for 4.5 mio idr/ night

Struttura davvero curatissima, sempre tutto in ordine… durante il nostro soggiorno é capitato di essere gli unici ospiti (eccetto chi transitava per qualche ora, in genere gente locale) ma il livello di attenzione e cura non è mai calato. Menzione speciale per il personale, gentilissimo ma senza aspettarsi qualcosa in cambio, persone di cuore e sempre con il sorriso seppure non parlavano inglese ma ormai ci si riesce comunque a fare capire 😅. Trasferimento da/per aeroporto comodo e preciso. Lo consiglio a tutti, almeno per qualche giorno, assieme a qualche giorno a Belitung.

Villa facing the beach with white sand. Can see small star fish just below my villa during low tide. All the staff were very polite and helpful. Food was marvellous. Can see sunrise every day with the sound of fishermen boat moving in the distance. Facilities all very good.

I have experienced both the treehouse and the overwater villa, and overall, they all excellent. Both two types of accommodations are equipped with mosquito repellent lotion and anti-itch cream for bites. Additionally, the wind chime outside the overwater villa is very soothing. The cooking methods and flavors are distinctly Southeast Asian and very friendly to East Asian vacationers. There is a local fish soup dish, perhaps named "gangan", which is particularly good. Especially when the fish used for that dish is caught by myself, it does turn out to be excellent. During the low-tide beachcombing activity (locally called "nyuloh"), we could find various small crabs, shrimp, and other creatures. Near the overwater bar area, we also spotted coconut crabs, stingrays, moray eels, and large sea snails (thought by us to be tire-like texture, but not so bouncy). While fishing offshore, we could even spot and catch large crabs, squid just on the surface of sea water. The staff on the island provided meticulous and thoughtful service. Almost all activities have been accompanied by staff, and the costs for these activities are relatively reasonable. Special mention goes to the managers, Gee and Marcel, who have both offered tremendous personalized assistance, resolving almost all unexpected situations I encountered and ensuring that all my needs were promptly addressed. For example, when I went offshore fishing, the restaurant prepared breakfast early based on my departure time since the coral reef area with groupers was farther away. Marcel even woke up early to accompany me. When the cable charging port of my iPhone accidentally got seawater inside it, they used a vacuum pump to extract the water. Furthermore, a staff lent me a wireless charging power bank upon my request. They helped me restore cable charging in no time.

− The first issue, which is not the fault of the resort, is that flights from Jakarta to TJQ Airport are almost always delayed (a fact I heard from many locals, and my flight was no exception). So, it is best to keep a flexible schedule for the first day of your stay. The second issue is that the hot water supply in the showers of both the treehouse and overwater villa is too limited, lasting perhaps no more than five minutes. For me, it felt like turning a shower into the rush-hour commuting. The third issue is that I heavily relied on Marcel, an English-speaking student intern, because communicating with many staff requires using the Translation App. While this was mostly fine, it would have been better to have more opportunities to converse in English and share insights about local economic and cultural conditions. However, I was fortunate to chat with Manager Gee and Marcel late into the night on Chinese New Year’s Eve, and their help as English speakers was invaluable to me.
