7.0A quiet and peaceful place with lovely nature and bird song. pretty much everything you need for a night stay. Nice views and a comfy bed.
− Unfortunately, the family pod we stayed in was in need of a little TLC. It had quite a strong damp smell and could do with a fresh coat of paint. One downside was that there was no power in the pod, which made charging phones and getting ready a little inconvenient. We had a look inside the other three pods while we were there, and they appeared much cleaner and fresher , so hopefully the family pod will receive the same attention soon. The shared toilets and showers were clean, although being a short walk away made the inevitable middle-of-the-night toilet trip a bit of a challenge. We only stayed for one night while attending a show in Llangollen, and for that purpose it suited us well, although it's a little further out than we expected. Overall, we had a good night's sleep as the bed was comfortable. This is definitely more of a rustic camping experience, as the name "Wild Retreats" suggests, rather than luxury glamping. If you go expecting that, it has its own charm. We'd happily return for another night with friends if we were in the area.
Excellent location and lovely pods
10.0I booked two pods, so this is a copy of my review from the other booking… Lovely location and very peaceful. Received a very warm welcome and the facilities provided were plenty for what we needed. Lovely views and the pods were spaced out nicely. Very clean and comfortable.
