Quiet and very welcome.

There was no breakfast but the cabin had everything required. There was a fold-out couch, and a double bed. The kitchen was nicely designed. And the BBQ was in okay condition (one of the burners didn't work.) It was very very quiet.

I didn't know it was a self check in and check out upon arrival. That would have been nice to know. The shower ran hot and then very cold, and the device to control it was outside - again, it would have nice to know. Some of the roofing and walls could do with some upkeep - a small bat scurried in through a hole one night.

Clean, comfortable accommodations in the Cariboo territory of British Columbia.

Cabin was warm. Shower was hot. The view of the lake and the coastal mountain range was terrific. Property manager, Matt, was very friendly and helpful in all respects.

This was a fishing trip. The facility has boats for rent but they are powered by puny electric motors with less than two hours of battery life. This severly limits the time and distance you can cover in a fishing session; not to mention that the battery may fail much sooner during the late morning and afternoon when the wind comes up and leaves you in a potentially dangerous situation.

It's a quiet, peaceful site with lots of bird activity along the lake - loons, ducks, eagles, song birds. There are canoes, kayaks and row boats that quests can use for free and motor boats to rent. The Pioneer cabin is the best bet since it is right on the waterfront.
