− Un peu décentré, il faut marcher 45 minutes pour le centre ou prendre un collectivo sur la route principale

It's actually a spare room in this little house very far from the city center (around 40 min walk). The host wasn't really welcoming, you just feel uncomfortable staying in the house and you can't even use the kitchen.

Cheap but problems with roof during the rain

The owners let me use their kitchen to prepare my meal, which is super nice. Overall it's in a good location if you have your own car. The room is very cute, and the bed is super comfy. The owner makes knitted penguins and other souvenirs/clothes which are super cute.

− 1) This is not really a hostel - it's literally a family renting a spare room out. 2) In the evening, the family was having dinner in a small shared space, and it was awkward to be honest. Their stuff is everywhere in the bathroom and it's also awkward. 3) The bathroom is dirty-ish. The hot water was on for 5 mins then turned cold and I had to wait in the cold for it to become lukewarm again. I think they're using a small boiler so you have to wait each time. 4) MOST IMPORTANT: the roof in my room was leaking because it was raining overnight and I woke up in a wet bed. This was so bad. Luckily I only stayed one night and it was very cheap.

A warm welcome in Ancud!

Delightful family homestay on a hill in Ancud. Not very close to the centre, but I had my own transport so it didn’t matter. The family are so kind and the facilities and room are really comfortable.
