6.0Location is good. Close to the city centre.
− There were two rooms, which you could open with the same key. We were first to enter the apartment and dropped our stuff before we went out. When we came back, our door was open as the other person thought it was his room. The owner solved the situation. Fridge was full of food from someone else and not that clean. Washing machine and dryer were fully loaded from someone else (???). Had to get permission from the owner to get them out to do our washing. The roommate turned the dryer on in the middle of the night and the noise was audible till 7:30 in the morning. There was a lot of stuff on stairs which made it difficult to get the luggage up. So we left it in the car. Living room was clean but also a lot of personal stuff. In the kitchen there were tools which do not belong there (drill machine, power tools)

9.0A lovely place with lovely host and hostess with whom you can cohabitate easily. No pressure to engage, simple and sensible rules to follow, and gracious hospitality and kindness all around.
− Just be aware that reaching this apartment requires a small trek up a street with a sharper-than-usual incline. (Ålesund is nicely flat except where it isn't!) If you are carrying heavy luggage, this might present a short but real challenge.
