9.0We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Thoppil Homestay, and honestly, it turned out to be one of the highlights of our Munnar trip. The property is surrounded by so much greenery that it genuinely feels like you’re living inside a spice plantation. Everywhere you look, there are cardamom, pepper, nutmeg, cocoa, cinnamon and so many other plants. Waking up to the sound of birds, clouds rolling over the hills, and the peaceful atmosphere was an experience in itself. There’s even a beautiful stream and a small waterfall just a short walk from the property, which made the stay even more special. The hospitality deserves a special mention. The hosts were incredibly warm, friendly and always ready to help. They helped us plan our itinerary, suggested places to visit based on the weather, and arranged whatever we needed during our stay. And the food… absolutely amazing! The home-cooked meals were fresh, authentic and full of flavour. The chicken biryani was hands down the star of our stay :) it was so good that we’ll probably remember it for a long time! If you’re looking for a peaceful stay away from the crowd, surrounded by nature with genuinely caring hosts and delicious home-cooked food, I can’t recommend Thoppil Homestay enough. We’d love to come back again.

Very comfortable and homely.
9.0Loved the home-cooked food. The family were the most amazing bunch and caring. They helped us out of every problem - including our cab to Calicut. The river nearby is the highlight. The spice garden, the flowers and boota.
− It is my fault that I didn't check the ground-floor budget room... the other rooms are much cooler... will definitely check out the other rooms on my next visit here.
