− Necessities like soap, shampoo, handwash, and a towel were missing, and I had to call the owner himself to get those. The main issue is that the property is being maintained by the caretakers, and you cannot expect the most generous hospitality while staying here. I expected a better room for the price I paid.

Best Coorg stay ever at Snowdrop inn!
10.0First of all, this property was a life saver for us. We were literally freezing outside, since our booking got cancelled last minute at another hotel. But this property owner was really kind and understood our condition and help us really well. Even the caretakers were really kind and polite. Stay was also wonderful at this property. We really liked staying here. Again i would like to thank the owner of this property for being so kind and helpful. Our trip was one saturday and literally fully booked and price range was tooooo much. But snowdrop stay was really affordable for us. Whenever ill be visiting coorg, ill surely choose snowdrop inn and would recommend to my friends also.

A quiet, clean, comfortable haven on the hillside above the town
8.0I loved this quiet corner of the Madikeri hillside and was very well taken care of by the property caretakers Vargis, Asha and their two children. I was the first foreigner to have stayed at the property and would highly recommend it to any Western travellers, especially solo travellers. Vargas and his daughter took me out for the day in his rickshaw to visit some of the sights such as Mandalpatti peak and Abbi Falls and by the end of the trip I felt like part of the family. I was given freshly made chai and milk coffee without needing to ask for it and they were always on hand to help if I needed something, such as takeaway food from the local Hotel Rainbow, which was delicious. I slept incredibly well in the comfortable room every night and loved waking up to birdsong and cool air.
− I had booked this property with the owner in order to do the Tadiandamol trek, but when I arrived there was little or no recognition of my request. I did find that in Karnataka, a lot of things get lost in translation so I just decided to go with the flow and let the trip make itself. That decision definitely paid off and the caretaking family took me under their wing. For solo travellers and anyone without a car, the property is on a hillside outside town so that makes it a bit of a trek but there are plentiful rickshaws in town.
