A highlight of our trip in India - stunning scenery and fantastic food
10.0The house and surrounding gardens are beautiful. We stayed in the Superior room with a view out over cardamom plants and banana trees. The room itself was well considered with its wooden furniture and the bathroom was particularly stylish. Abin was warm and welcoming, giving us great advice about things to do and see in the area. The food was a highlight with fantastic breakfasts and delicious homestyle dinners. We highly recommend Vishnu as a driver as well.
− Nothing. It’s just worth noting that the location is not close to the main attractions of Munnar, but Abin was very accomodating in helping us book a driver to take us around the area and to and from Kochi.

10.0Perched in the hills near Munnar with sweeping views and beautiful gardens, this property is a real find. The newer rooms are spotless and comfortable. Meals are served in a gorgeous glass-walled dining room, and the mother of the house cooked dinner for us every night — fish curry, vegetable curries, a vegetable rice almost like a biryani — all adjusted to our spice preference and all delicious. The son who manages the property was friendly and knowledgeable, pointing us toward Eravikulam National Park and Lockhart Tea Factory among other highlights. More rural than central Munnar, which suits the setting perfectly. A peaceful, personal, genuinely lovely place to stay.
Some places stay with you long after the trip ends.
